I interviewed many people as a RN working with anesthesia. Many elderly do not own computers. Many have phones too small to see to fill out forms and answer questions. If they did fill out the information, it usually had mistakes.
The meme is so telling, there is no real customer service anymore.
I'm mid 30's and I can't stand having to do all this crap online. My cellphone is for GAW texting and calling and a few emails. Not for creating 500 accounts linking them all to my social security number and then waving it around like a gay man holding a flag in a parade when I want to buy things. I call myself a technological refugee. I used to think it was all this wonderful amazing thing and still like building PC's and tinkering but only for hobby and not for daily living.
You're right this stuff has to end.
There should be a constitutional amendment requiring a cash or check to purchase goods or services, and all tickets must be in paper form. You can still order tickets over the internet, but you have to pay in cash or check when you come. Also internet orders should require you to send the check or money order through the mail with no credit cards allowed.
It’s so annoying every sporting event or concert is digital. I want paper and a digital back up
They took out the toll booths here in Oklahoma and now bill your plate at twice as much if you don't have a pike pass.
They save money and make people pay extra,

At 67, I have a younger member of my family do this for me.
Lol...this "joke" is such a sign of our times. Out with the old in with the new. History shows us it's always been this way.
"Out with the old in with the new."
"Even when the new sucks!"
Yes ...
AKA "getting jerked off sideways"
There is actually already a counter culture movement brewing with millennials and the younger generations to go back to the time before all this tech nonsense.
Not even accurate anymore. The human in the 'info hub' is replaced by a chatbot ("AI").
Home Depot pulled this crap when trying to do an ag tax exempt.
I avoid Home Depot now.
Oh yes. The dreaded GATE card. Hateful.
I'm in Texas
