Someone saying the government would never do that is the quickest way to tell if someone is retarded or not.
The nuclear bombing of Japan saved millions of lives. The bombings convinced Japan to surrender. The US was preparing for a land invasion of Japan, which meant street by street combat involving both civilians as well military. I know, my Dad was going to be part of that first wave.
WRONG! Our government's propaganda says it saved millions of lives. The fact is that it cost tens of thousands of extra American lives since we waited for the bomb instead of getting a surrender earlier.
The Japanese were SUPER ready to surrender months before Hiroshima. They are even sending secret negotiation teams to arrange a surrender months before Hiroshima.
If we had a statesman in office like Trump instead a slave to the bureaucrats, tens of thousands of Americans lives with a spared from extra months of war. Someone like Trump easily could have negotiated a surrender from the Japanese 6 to 12 months before the war officially ended.

Yep. Truman purposely ignored th Japanese Delegation for weeks before we dropped this bombs, just to see what they could do to a population center. Two bombs, each with different radioactive material and triggering mechanisms. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were test sites to determine which system Truman like better, so he could pick the best one in terms of destructive force and decide which system the U.S. would move forward with.

Hiroshima (Little Boy): Uranium-235 bomb with a gun-type design. Nagasaki (Fat Man): Plutonium-239 bomb with an implosion design.
So many people don't know this.
The Japanese people were more than ready. The Japanese government wasn't.
What about the nukes that we exploded across the Pacific after WWII that displaced and killed several people groups? What about the servicemen assigned to be observers who died of radiation poisoning some 10 to 20 years later? These things happened and our government did it.
Wasn't there also testing, on Americans, in America?
