I won't speak for all Christians, but the church I go to they create a protective bubble around themselves. They live perfect little tidy lives. They wouldn't know what evil was if it slapped them in the face. I can only stand going there once a month.
I hear ya. I'll suggest you find a new church if you can. I know it's easier said-than-done - similar to "just homeschool your kids."
The husband is responsible for the family. Don't allow your church to create a lukewarm spirit in you or your family. Hang tough.
Material things mean nothing. This does not hurt God. Our eyes should be on him, not buildings and effigies.
I thought that the Apostle Simon Peter was crucified upside down outside of Rome in the 7th decade AD. The Vatican claims that he is interred there.
You're absolutely right. The OP's post is talking about some shia shrine with zero relevance to Christians, which is why you've never heard of it.
It's also the wrong Simon... it's Simon the zealot, not Simon Peter...

Years ago I was speaking to a friend from the Middle East who was from Lebanon. As a Christian this person had remarkable insight. At one time Christians were the middle men of peace. Christian towns and sites were where accords were made and discussions in war could happen. Christians were delegates between sides even amongst Muslims fighting each other. Lebanon was a Christian nation until “someone “ armed and funded Muslim extremist to start a civil war and undermined the Christian resistance. This happened through out the region. Once the Christians were gone conflict went through the roof. The black hats who funded the crazies want a war torn Middle East so they can sell arms to both sides. The extremist want full Sharia everywhere and once they take a territory even other moderate Muslims become targets. This was from someone who lived there and whose family fled to Europe then immigrated legally to the US or otherwise be executed for refusing to reject Christ.
Isn't Israel full of non-Christians?
There are some Christians and they are attacked and spat on regularly.
Wrong Simon. This was the tomb of Simon the Zealot not Simon Peter.
What did it look like before ? Can't find any info on it
What kind of non biblical site is this? Nobody cares about peters bones.
Now bones of Elijah...throw a dead body on top of those and see what happens.
There are no bones of Elijah the prophet.
Unforgivable! This is a most cherished place! Apostle Simon Peter. Despicable!
Horrendous. But they can never get rid of the real Kingdom.
