The people who can trace their blood-lines back to Palestine are being genocided, and the world turns away. Now the eye of Sauron has turned to diverse people who might be Zoroastrian or Christian, from way back. Darn villagers! Again, the world is shrugging their shoulders. Many are celebrating, because this means change, finally. It's shameful. (((They))) managed to fly lots of the threatened minorities away from Syria during the 'LOL-ceasefire' so that the remainers are now small minorities. This is very dangerous.
And yet, I see even the humanitatian flights as ethnic cleansing.
Syria and Palestine were regions that were closely linked in Biblical times, and arguably Syria was a cradle of civilization. Now, Sauron sees it as a convenient place for a pipeline to feed Zog.
That is still a major Christian Church, the Antiochian Orthodox Church, currently headquartered in Damascus. There are many Antiochian Orthodox parishes in the US. Former Rep. Justin Amash is an active member, and I was received into the Orthodox Church in an Antiochian parish. It’s kind of half immigrants from the Middle East and half American converts. The website for the American archdiocese is https://antiochian.org/
Thank you for the information. I wasn't aware that there were Antiochian Orthodox parishes in the US. but that makes sense. I had been preparing for a Bible study at our Church. I am taking the class thru the book of Acts. We were in the 11th chapter of Acts.
Acts 11:26 says: "And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. **And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch." **
As you are aware the center of gravity started to shift from Jerusalem to cities like Syrian Antioch. I was surprised to read that there were over 1.5 million Christians in Syria before their "civil war" but today there are probably less than 200k-300k. They fled because of the civil war not because of persecution from Assad. In fact the Syrian Christians very much supported Assad. DID I GET THIS RIGHT? I starting to believe one objective of these "civil wars" in the middle east are to eliminate Christianity from the region (and to steal natural resources like oil & gas).
Yes. And here we are.
