There is a short video about an owner of one of those small commercial drones who tried to get a look at them with his own, I think I saw it on Townhall.com, sends it up with full charge on the battery, but once it got closer to one of the mystery drones the battery drained in a few minutes and his drone came down.
That might be just a fluke, but it's also possible those mystery drones have some sort of defense.
And that is, BTW, something that has been told for decades about UFO encounters. Batteries for anything that needs them, like cameras, draining near instantly once they are closer to the UFO. Cars stopping too, but at least in most of those stories the car usually starts again after the UFO is gone. But with most small battery operated devices, once we had them, the story of batteries drained is pretty common.
So, anyway, if they are "normal" drones it should be possible to capture one or at least get good video or photos of it, but if they are actually the same thing as what are called UFOs or UAPs, whatever they may be (personally I am inclined to think they are real, way too many eyewitnesses etc, but what they are and have been is a different question, and I rather doubt the "space aliens" explanation) it could be dangerous to get close to one in a helicopter.
Someone posted a theory that these are US military surveillance drones that detect and monitor nuclear and biological threats. That seems like the most probable explanation to me so far.
Let's don't even TALK about you building some un-sanctioned thing that kept people warm and dry depriving them of the "Camping Experience" after a flood.
We have the capability to toast the drones in a variety of different ways. Because we haven’t even tried, I believe these are contractor drones, probably paid by DHS, and they are hunting for WMDs. There are a variety of sensors for that purpose. I offered up the best one in 2011, but JIEDO didn’t fund it. It may exist now.
"Avoiding panic" is not a valid excuse for a danger that has persisted for days. If there is a WMD in the area, then an evacuation needs to happen ASAP, and the govt. has had a long enough time to plan out such a mass evacuation.
We need to know what our employees in the govt. know, and when they knew it, and get a competent resolution for whatever the hell this drone situation really is.
It's no coincidence that this is happening in highly Leftist areas where most don't even own a slingshot much less an actual firearm. And shooting drones down is very, very hard. Just ask the Russian getting thermite sprayed all over them in the Donbass and Crimea.
SS probably has this stuff. But our airspace is such a ball of fuck on, who can do what and when is the real issue. Seems everyone is afraid to do anything.
I recall a few years back that either Japan or China was using drones that fired a net onto "illegal" drones to capture them. If I find a video, I'll post a link.
Yes. I am quite sure that the US govt. has the technological ability to safely capture drones. But, instead, they gaslight the public with bullshit statement's about being "unable to shoot them down."
Yup. If i get my hands on one, I claim salvage rights (seeing as nobody else is claiming ownership) and I will be asking a very high price for anyone who wants to view it, or purchase my salvage.
Don't property owners own the airspace up to 1000' above their property? A hobby pilot I once knew said if you can read the numbers on a light plane above your property without binoculars, they're too low and in FAA violation(?).
So it would be either a trespass incident, or you just started an interplanetary conflict. We probably should start getting some general policies in place.
At least the military has a greater appreciation of what they can't do.
And one other thing; The only thing the military is doing about those drones is playing grab-ass, and acting like they don't know anything about them, while simultaneously indicating that these drones are no threat. The Pentagon cannot be trusted in this matter, which is why patriots should take action.
Do you KNOW they are not a danger if molested? Nobody's even obtained clear photographs of them.
I am not risk averse, let's find out. And, I am quite certain that Uncle Sam has very clear, and detailed photos of the things- which for some odd reason they are not sharing with the public. Those drones flying in our airspace over the heads of American civilians is a tree that needs shaking.
Imagine this happening during the 1950's or 60's. This would be a non-stop media frenzy, and the govt. and president would sure as hell be talking about it, not hiding what they know. This is bad shit, and the public needs to know what is going on.
I agree that big net would not be the safest way to capture one. But, latching grapple hooks and cables with weights attached to one of them may work better. Or, some other creative method.
Just keep adding more hooks and weight as needed to force it to gradually lower its altitude.
Anyways, leaving them up there to do whatever it is they are doing is based on the assumption that they are harmless.
I do not concur with that assumption. Take the fucking things out, or else come clean with the facts that we know about what they are, and what they are doing.

This
I'm preeeeety sure our government would put you in jail for the rest of your natural life if you went and successfully did their job at a cost of $15
Because of it making them look bad because could not do it with 87,000 people and 27.4 billion dollars.
Let's don't even TALK about you building some un-sanctioned thing that kept people warm and dry depriving them of the "Camping Experience" after a flood.

fascist.
Next thing you know, the little Ewoks will be bringing down our AT-STs with logs & cables, claiming the place for themselves. Can't have that!
Worth it!

Why don’t they come clean? To avoid panic.

Yes. That is why I am proposing a helicopter deployed, net capture operation.
Need an industrial size one of these

Oh, I like that a lot! Maybe net one prop at a time, and force it to land while still partially operational?
These 12 ga shells have a very limited range…but never know. Could take little to disable electric lightweight props.
Did you seriously just suggest deploying SkyNet to take care of an AI drone problem? (You can't make this stuff up, nor should you try!). ;-D
Nope. My idea was much less technologically complicated.
The mayor is now looking for permission to tell civilians to shoot it down see who's it is!
Really? Do you have a link for confirmation?
Long distance Drone Jammer
http://www.aerobotpro.com/
That looks kinda expensive for your average fren to afford.
The local government could buy them...I would think it would be a must have for the Secret Service.
SS probably has this stuff. But our airspace is such a ball of fuck on, who can do what and when is the real issue. Seems everyone is afraid to do anything.
Like the China balloon
Not sure if that would even work, considering they've been saying these drones have been operating on a unknown, undetectable frequency.
EMP shot should take them down..
I recall a few years back that either Japan or China was using drones that fired a net onto "illegal" drones to capture them. If I find a video, I'll post a link.
Not the one I recall, but interesting. Best case would be to use a same size drone to bring one down safely. https://youtu.be/0GRaAHexsVk?si=1NhrUJPzV0AVmQ8d
Or add one of these tethered to the capture drone. https://youtu.be/4jiDJ-Ie_Iw?si=kuYqyHr0JLhBY8lJ

If a drone is made non operational by any means it would interesting to see what's said afterwards and who wants it back the most.

I'd have more fun shooting it down.

Yeaaaahhhh…the shots are ‘safe’ and ‘effective’…
I’m sure the drones are no threat…
