The story is that Israel hijacked the pagers to plant explosive devices in them years in advance.
If thats true, then the reality is they were spying on their october 7th attackers years in advance.
How then is it possible that their security forces were no where to be found when their equivalent of 911 happened?
They must have known... and said we allow it.
That or the ied bomb planting story is a lie and they really overloaded the battery to blow it up.

There were Israeli surveillance soldiers stating that Israel knew when a rat scampered near the border. There is NO WAY Israel did not know their fences had been cut and vehicles driven over and flown over their border. It seems unlikely that the most monitored border in the world could be so easily penetrated.

Yes to the overloaded battery theory: I think that the explosives packed in the device theory is to OTT. Like it sounds like too much work, TBH. What if someone had dropped their phone? The victims would have found out, IMO.

You cant kill people with an overloaded battery! and dropping explosive does not cause detonation unless it is a very unstable type. For some explosive types putting it into an open fire would not detonate it (it would just melt and burn like match heads) so there is no automatic hazard from dropping them if the explosive is a very stable type that needs a very fast and high energy detonator.
Yep, you can use plastic explosives, like C4 to boil water and heat food instead of hexamine. PE burns very hot, so you have to be careful you don't damage aluminium dixxies and canteen cups.
Why would you use PE instead of examine? To reduce weight you have to carry.
If you're operating tactically, it's always useful to have PE if you need to destroy unexploded ordinance to deny it's use to the enemy.
