Anyway, as your employer, I never guaranteed that I wanted you to keep doing your nonessential task when my representatives conclude there's no plan in which it's in my interests to have you do so. I suppose you can sue me, or you can take up the enervating mantle of private sovereignty alongside me and take responsibility for your own life.

Gov't workers have unreal job security healthcare/benefits and salaries. If us non Gov't folk have a bad year, we don't get back paid, we get fired. That isn't delayed pay, that is zero pay plus being thrown to the sharks of the black hole of a job market.
Yes, it sucks. But i'm sorry, your delayed but garunteed pay is not more important than the actions and monies buried inside a terrible bill.

It was ok for ALL of the country to not get paid during Covid. Only the govt got paid. The govt is bloated. I have seen how long govt shuts down when Democrats rule. It is a few days because Republicans have sympathy. Govt employees always seem to get back pay as well. The civilians just get nothing. They just get fired.
Are saying we shouldn't be spending $2.3m on Smart Toilet Seats that have Butt Cheek Identification technology? Or should we not be spending $118k on metal robotic Thanos to see if it could snap it's fingers?

Why did it take the democrats to defeat this bill? A LOT of republicans voted "for" this bill. They are either rinos force to do the bidding of the deep state or are very tone deaf to the demands of the people who voted them in. All of these rinos need to be primaried and voted out. Hopefully they will receive a note asking them to participate in some treason trials.......their's!
