Diet, exercise and discipline. That is all that is needed to lose weight. I decided to get back in shape months ago. Dropped 60lbs in those 3 months leading up to the election. 1800 calories, one meal a day, keto, active lifestyle. That's it. Anyone can do it. All these pills and other shit are just excuses for a lack of will and discipline.
Thats howni did it. Calories in vs calories out and high vitamin density foods or vitamins. Went semi keto 5 years ago plus intermittent fasting which is super easy on keto. Lost 50 lbs and have kept it off. I'm 62 and in the best shape of my life.
It’s not that easy for everyone. Everyone has different body types and endomorphs bodies tend to want to stay large regardless of their actions. Thyroid issues and other medical considerations can also cause obesity. Age is also a big factor as our cells and mitochondria don’t function as well as they used to to make energy. Hormones start falling off drastically after 40 and also play a big part.
I have a friend with a thyroid issue. His BMR floats around 1100. He still lost wait through diet and exercise. He now has a six pack. It's not easy, but it is doable. Just takes dedication and willpower.
Not trying to start any crap with yah Fren, just have to agree to disagree. o7
It doesn't take that much willpower once you decide to shove only fat and protein inside your face.
The willpower lies in choosing to eat the healthy sat-fat snack instead of the conditioned crunchy carb one. After a period of time, willpower doesn't even enter the picture; this is just how you eat. And stay fit and trim, without hunger.
Just list all your favorite tasty foods that are made only of fat and protein, and eat all you like. No calorie counting. No willpower involved: fat is the appetite shut-off molecule. And eating fat trains the body to burn fat for energy. Hello, nearly effortless weight loss!
Why do you think the authorities never want you eating fat??
Carbohydrate is the appetite stimulant molecule. Eating carbs trains the body to store carbs as body fat and stay endlessly hungry for more of the same. The authorities insist you keep eating more of those so they can sell you more food, plus drugs and diabetic testing equipment.
Yes, trusted doctors, pharmacists, and drug companies are deliberately coaching people to accept that they are all naturally going to develop Type II diabetes, a reversible illness that they desperately need you to believe is a LIFELONG CONDITION, WHICH YOU MUST MANAGE...
Yes. Sugar and refined carbs are huge appetite stimulants and hugely addicting. You are right that that's why they are pushed so hard in advertising - because it works. We've got a nation of perpetually hungry sugar addicts who can't get enough and can't lose any weight, either.
Get off the sugar and white flour. Eat fats and high protein instead. Watch what happens. You'll stop being hungry all the time, you'll lose excess weight, and you'll feel like a new person.
And you'll be ready to declare war on the companies/FDA who deliberately push this shit and then push heavy medications for the inevitable diabetes and obesity that results.
It's not easy. There are now low-carb bread (great for toasted cheese sandwiches) and pastas available that help preserve sanity. Eggs are tops. Berries are good. Other than that, it's tough because humans are omnivores; everything about our body is designed for hunting, killing, eating, and metabolizing meat :)
God gave us everything we need to take care of ourselves. We just gotta dig down, find that willpower and see it through. Try intermittent fasting. Find your BMR, knock off 500 calories, eat all your daily calories in a 6 hour eating windows and you can drop those 10lbs in a month easy.
I'm so unsurprised to see USMC in your username. I say the same to my daughters and step daughters who swear they don't overeat and claim they have thyroid trouble and can't lose weight. Yet they swear by Gastric bypass and/or ozempic. I fear for their health and lives.

Anyone needing to lose weight or cure type 2 diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis or any autoimmune disease, should read "Gut Check" by Steven R Gundry.

You are good. I just wish I could lose another 10 lbs. I am close.

My friends used to tell me if I needed to lose 10 more pounds I could always chop off that fat, ugly mass above my shoulders.
I don't have anything there already being hollow and brain-dead.

Amen, brother Jyrene. Semper Fi.
