Reform our educational system. Get back to basics: reading, writing and arithmetic. Put those with reading issues in a special help class. If you can’t read, you will fail all subjects. Reading is the building block of education. Kindergarten, first and second grade are the basics. Get back to teaching cursive writing and do away with Common Core. Require every High School student to train in some field: Welding, nursing assistant, food service, electrical repair, plumbing, sewing, accounting skills, gardening, restorative farming, vet tech, etc. Senior year require an internship with minimal pay to assist those providing the internship and to help the intern pay for transportation.
