China Launches ‘40,000 Ton’ Catapult-Equipped Amphibious Assault Ship Sichuan in a Bid to Rival the U.S.
The Chinese naval build up continues with the launch of Sichuan amphibious assault ship, the lead ship of the Type 076 class, displacing 40,000 tons and equipped with an electromagnetic catapult for fixed-wing aircraft operations. On Dec. 27, 2024, the Peo...
As long as they keep it the China sea, I have no issue with it. Everything China builds is a piece of shit.
THAT is so True!!
Oh yeah......well we have trannies in the Navy.
KEK!
They will really "Fuck them up!"
The war between Russia and Ukraine shows that a naval ship of today is like what horses were in WWI.
I mean it’s not exactly an even comparison. Russia has never been renowned for its Naval capability or Competency. In fact quite the opposite. Even when it was the Soviet Union.
That and Most of it’s fleet. Is old. And due to a lack of foresight of Soviet and later Russian planners. Very badly maintained. Because the overwhelming majority of its high end Maintenance and Refit facilities. Were in Soviet Satellite States. Which for obvious reasons they no longer have access too. And corruption and lack of access to parts hampers what facilities they do have in Russia. Which has led to constant delays of upgrading ships and laying down new ones to replace its Vintage Soviet Era Fleet.
Russia and its Soviet Predecessor focused primarily on the Ground and Airforces. And Nuclear Deterrence. The Navy was often an afterthought. And the bulk of its funding went towards the Submarine programs.
That pic looks AI generated. Not saying the ship itself is fake, just the photo appears to fake to me. Just a few months ago we got reports that they couldn't get the electromagnetic catapult system to work, and now were supposed to believe that not only did they get it to work, that they successfully installed it in an amphib assault ship?!
I was also wondering why this was not in the Main stream media.
