I wonder if my neighbors and others within my vicinity while driving worry when a good classic rock or country song come on due to the sub that they can't see.....
Whenever I see Istanbul, I think of the ancient worlds of Constantinople and then of Carthage before that and it always reminds me of this Al Stewart song, 'Hanno, the Navigator'.
Remain calm. It is a Turkey submarine. The Turks have Air Independent Propulsion AIP. It has a big fuel cell for electricity. Really quiet and can stay down for a long time. German tech.
I don't care if I dox myself. My Twitter handle that everyone can see and has been posted here many times for instance is my full real name. Cats 5, that's my idea I've been using for 35 years. I get threats, no one has ever shown up. If someone wants to come find me, they are welcome to.
When I got here to Turkey my phone did not work for 5 days straight. They definitely checked me out. But I just sit here on my balcony and watch the ships go by and wait until the 17th when I go to Portugal
I now live in Malta. If someone wants to visit, DM me
Diesel boats are super silent. A PLAN diesel boat surfaced next to a US carrier on exersize in the Gulf, the carrier crew shat themselves as they did not know it was there. The boat's crew asked the USN if they had any rice as their supplies were gone.
Yeah... those diesels are preeeety damned quiet... I can't remember who it was... but someone was working on a state of the art version... may the NK were threatening... but it seemed like it was the brits or one of the scandinavians...
my old man was on a boomer when both I and my little bro were born... did not have time to do another 6 months so they put him on a diesel for the last little bit... had fun on that one too... talked about snorkling (I think the germans spelled it different) in rough seas and when the waves would go over it every ear on the boat popped...
Said he was in his final year before he ever got sea sick...
To be honest, I kind of don't know. I am in a beautiful beautiful penthouse apartment and I just set outside and read the internet or read my books I just watch the ships go by. I have seen so many interesting ships, oh my god, I can't tell you. A few ships go by and they look like cruise ships, except I'm like, this looks like the world's worst most terrible cruise ship, and I look it up on the internet, because I have this app called marine traffic which will show me what every ship that is going by is doing, and there are cruise ships, basically, but for livestock! It's so crazy. Yesterday I reset my record, I finally saw a ship that was 296 m long, oh my God so long. But I've seen so many crazy stuff, like, the car carriers, they look like floating shoe boxes, I even saw a ship called "yacht servant", A ship that will lower itself underneath a yacht and then come up and relocate ships for the rich people
Little Rock Arkansas has WWII era sub USS Razorback. The Razorback went through a couple of retro fits and was used by Turkey for more than 20 years. It is on display and can be toured.
I have even played a submarine video game as the Razorback, that's amazing. So you see this is in Little Rock? Because I will have to see this one day. The Razorback was easily the number one submarine in all of world War II, as you probably know. Wow that's cool
Super neat. I have to see this. I also realized that there was another great submarine called the archerfish. Had to look it up:
USS Archerfish (SS-311): A Balao-class submarine commissioned in 1943, renowned for sinking the Japanese aircraft carrier Shinano in 1944. After decommissioning in 1968, she was sunk as a target off the coast of California on October 19, 1968.
Visiting the US early 1980s I was on the tourist boat going under Golden Gate Bridge and a submarine came past. Our captain was going crazy on the public address system telling us not to miss it, so I guess it was not a routine daily event.
Wow, that is so cool. I would be losing my mind as well! I'm glad that you remember this, frog. You definitely saw history being made. Wow that's awesome 🐸
Don't worry about the subs you CAN see, worry about the one you CANNOT see.

We humans are all truly explorers. Whether in the real world or the digital world, our thirst for knowledge is unending.
So glad Q lit a fire under our ass in the quest for truth!
Amen! We were getting pretty lazy regarding the digging way back when. Now look at us! We’ve got skills!!
One ping only.
Vasily.

Or are they gonna false flag on Israel or something?
God I hate these Baal washers...
Preeeety normal thing... their only way out... this is just posturing...

And there was this, but it isn't diesel: https://www.twz.com/how-a-british-submarine-spent-hours-under-a-russian-aircraft-carrier

Miss my pop
Just to say, this submarine is heading up into the black Sea, it's heading into wherever it's going, not away from
How is Istanbul? Huge history nerd and have always wanted to go.

Yes, Little Rock, AR. We actually spent the night on the sub.
Muskogee, OK has the USS Batfish, a sister to the Razorback. The Batfish is pretty close to how it was configured in 1945.

Are those drones on the deck? kekek
Haha! I zoomed in, I promise I did my best, but I did not see an Iran flag flying 🐸👌
What a very Christian thing to say
.........
Unfortunately they conquered it they get to do what they want. We need to conquer it back.
I don't know why you are downvoaded.
That's nobody's business but the Turks.
