I commented this in another post. Back in the 1950s the US built an under the ice military base with tunnels where they could move missile launchers that could hit targets deep in the USSR. The base was abandoned due to the shifting of the ice. I saw this on a History Channel show within the last two weeks. I think it was the show hosted by Dan Ackroyd.
And that didn't take long. Of course building anything under any kind of glacier is not a good idea as those things don't stay in place, they "flow", in some places slowly, in others surprisingly fast, but they are never completely stable anywhere.
But I suppose it's always possible that led to something a bit more permanent actually built there, just in a better thought out location. Or that ice base was just the cover, it's not as if the fact that glaciers move would have been unknown back then, so the fact that they officially tried, and then abandoned it, might really have been just a cover for the actual construction of something in the bedrock.
Just a thought, came to mind because it might explain why Trump is now talking about buying Greenland. If your country already has something there.
No biggie. It's good to post things again because people can't be here 24/7 and it's important info. I just meant that I had heard of it before - thanks (again) to GAW.
Yes. Supposedly nukes are in there. Either hot, or stored.
Yeah, it has a nuke reactor as well, you can watch a doc on it being built in Greenland.

Thank you for the info.
Just found this and posted it. https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a63024551/greenland-ice-secret-base/
Awesome. 👍😁
So, at one time, US had a claim to that base. Wonder how Greenlanders feel about that. Maybe this is why Trump is talking about Greenland.
I saw a documentary some time ago. I think this is it.
D.U.M.B……. da…dum…..dum
(Deep Underground Military Base)
Yes, I have.
I have a vague impression of reading of a base that was partly under ice years ago. I'll see if I can find anything about that.

saw the documentary on it about 6'7 years ago
Yeah, this was mentioned here a few weeks ago. It is intriguing.
I missed it then. Sorry for the repeat.

Me too. Camp Century. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_Century#/media/File:Camp_Century_layout_color.png
Grain silo. Seriously? SeriiOUSLYU? Where are they growing there?
Babies for adrenochrome?
Naaaaaaa it is just a weather station <cough!!>
I don't think they have to go to the arctic for that.
You’re probably right, it would be redundant to Antarctica 😀😀.
But seriously, waaay back in the day, there were some good digs on penguin adrenochrome as a reasonable substitute for human stuff - but i digress.
Good golly. I hadn't heard that.
And it's not artic, man. It's arCtic. Ugh.
