I live on Long Island NY and am surprised it's not more. Every grocery store and shop, every lawn service, every roof repair and blacktop /concrete company is all Latino. No one speaks English.
I work as an intake volunteer at a church pantry with a group of libtards and today.will be the first day back since the big change. Clients, for the most part, don't speak Engllish. I get icy (pun intended) stares with the declaration "No English". I tell them "No problema" and get a huff in exchange. I hand them a paper in Spanish about a program in NYS yo help them learn English over the phone.
I need some sort of documentation for every family member. Every month the number in the household grows and they get irate when I tell them, no papers, no food. Lots have "return to court: papers. Most do not. They are crammed in basements with other families and often need help with rent, bedding and furniture. The greed of landlords is mind boggling. A few get checks from St Vincent de Paul made out to the landlords who only want cash.
Then there are the Haitians. Someone wrote their name down incorrectly and because of the chaos in Haiti they can't get corrected papers. So the pantry lets them slide.
I am not going in today. I feel bad for these people, but if I have to listen to my co-workers spew venom, my head will explode.
Time to leave that church. How can you support a church that allows this? Why do you choose to aid these migrants? I know your trying to help people but your actually enabling the problem.
I did leave but started to work at the pantry after my husband died in order to get out. I have very few friends because of my support of Trump first time around. But the tribal culture at the pantry is getting to be too much.
I understand. You did a noble thing to process your grief and to help others. At this point it appears they are draining your spirit. Can you find another way to volunteer, where you're appreciated. Nature? Animal shelters?
Well to be honest that is what a church is supposed to do. Churches are not supposed to turn you away because you come from this country or that. What kind of church would turn people away?
This is old news and a deceptive headline. From the article linked:
"From 2000-2024, 254,180 people then residing in New York got removal orders from state courts, according to a report by Documented citing data from the tech nonprofit Mobile Pathways."
So the 250,000 number is over a period of 25 years! This didn't just happen yesterday or something...as much as we all wish it did.

I was gonna say Animal Shelter. Good call. Those animals deserve the help.
Haha! I have 4 rescues in my home. 2 dogs, 2 cats.
My wife has been running a big shelter for 25 years
Sounds like you need to move to friendlier climate.

I'm not expecting the church to turn them away but I certainly wouldn't want to volunteer to help people who treat me poorly. Would you?
If you feel like a change, there are multiple Veteran support organizations that could always use an extra hand and heart.

Came to say this.
We have to take back the language. If you're here illegally, you're not an immigrant, you're a criminal.
Just try sticking around in any other country in the world without paperwork and see what happens.
What's shocking is that they received deportation notices.
If you know where they are just go grab the bastards!
"A new analysis has revealed that more than 250,000 noncitizens residing in New York received removal orders"
Noncitizens = ILLEGAL ALIENS that have zero right to be in the US
Residing = ILLEGALLY staying in the US
FUCK the MSM, you can't hate them enough!
exactly...
Now deputize NY citizens to help round them up and place a bounty on those to be deported. NY would be clear of illegals in a month.
that will impact real estate and rental prices...
good.
Perhaps, it's the first step.....gotta start somewhere.
They broke the law, they should have zero right to free attorney representation.
Only because that's all they could find. I'm sure there are 100's of thousands they no longer have valid addresses for.
