since the provision in the 14th is a grey area i think the intent is to push it to the SCOTUS to make the ruling....
It really isn’t a gray area, like all Constitutional Amendments, there are supporting documents written to explain its purpose. The most famous supporting documents are the Federalist Papers.
Just yesterday there was a post about someone at the National Archives thinking they could memory hole writings of the 14th Amendment’s originator. The document clearly stated the Amendment did not apply to foreigners.

The other key and unarguable point about the 14th Amendment is its entire purpose was a byproduct of the Civil War. The Amendment addresses several issues that lingered in the aftermath of the war. It should be painfully obvious that allowing foreign people’s children to gain citizenship by being born here was not a Civil War issue.
They're going to shit when SCOTUS rules that birth right citizenship was NOT the original intent of the 14th Amendment.

So does that mean it's only paused in Seattle? I can never really grasp what happens when judges "block" something. If one random judge stops it does it stop it for everywhere?
Happened last time. Hence the 'Hawaiian judge' meme.
Incidentally it only seems to work one way, since the pedo regime did tons of illegal/unconstitutional stuff and single-judge orders didn't apply countrywide.
