Yeah, we just got finished with a 2 week bitter cold snap. It was teens where I'm at just east of the impact zone where it was single digits at night. I've stayed in a tent in those conditions and it is not fun. I don't know how those folks did it for so long.

This is what real leadership looks like.
What America needs is a national disaster preparation order.
Every lumber yard across the US expands between 5 and 20% and stocks that much extra in supplies that are paid for by the US Government. It gets bought by the government; then paid for by the local store as they move/rotate the stock.
You need to have some other places like Walmart (Already helps a lot) and other types of stores keep a slight excess of inventory.
The prep order would also fund temporary relocation of workers like construction to the area.
The US should be able to rebuild an area and restore homes in a few weeks to a few months.
Our governor sure has been useless helping WNC. Iām grateful for Trump getting things going as they should have been days after impact.
