I am watching Trump speak on the DC plane crash and he seems to be insinuating the air traffic diversity push is at fault. Anyone have more details?

I don't see where the controller did anything wrong. The helicopter was VFR. It was his responsibility to avoid the plane, but apparently his spatial awareness was diminished. From the radar tracks, it looks like he tried to go to the right/inside of the oncoming plane, on the airfield side, instead of behind the plane as he was instructed.
Rookie mistake by the helicopter pilot, but definitely not ATC's responsibility with VFR traffic. Sure, it's possible ATC could have said something different, but what was said was already enough by the regs.
Still, I am certain this will result in changes to flight operations at DCA to make sure a similar incident can never happen again.
I was somewhat distracted, but I keep OAN on my TV during the day. I believe I heard Pete Hegseth say (or someone said he said) that the helo was on a training mission and they were using night-vision goggles. If I heard that correctly, that could certainly point to this:
At first glance it looks like an ATC mistake. Preventing two aircraft from occupying the same airspace at the same time is a fundamental responsibility of air traffic controllers (ATC). Their job is to provide separation between aircraft, ensuring safe takeoffs, landings, and in-flight transitions.
I disagree. There are rules for ATC. And all the rules appear to have been followed.
This was a mistake by the helicopter pilot. Maybe ATC could have handled it better in a perfect universe, but they followed all the regulations. The helicopter was VFR, meaning ATC had no responsibility for him and the AA jet was cleared to land on Runway 33.
ATC separation only applies to 2 IFR aircraft.
If you watch all of Trump's brief he heavily leans toward this being the helicopter pilot's error but never specifically says who he blames.
Runway 33? Hmm...
Pete says the chopper was doing a "Continuity of Government" training mission.
That's quite interesting.

I remember discussions on this subject here on this forum. https://greatawakening.win/p/17te546eF5/faa-seeks-to-hire-people-with-se/
Wow - these ☝️are unbelievable traits to list for emphasis on in recruitment and hiring.
I liked it best when he explained -
"adjustments made again you could have slowed down the helicopter substantially you could have stopped the helicopter 14:06 you could have gone up you could have gone down you could have gone straight up straight down you could have turned you could have done a million different 14:13 Maneuvers for some reason it just kept going and then made 14:19 a slight turn at the very end and it was by that time it was too 14:25 late uh they shouldn't have been at the same height because if it wasn't the same height you 14:31 could have gone under it or over it and nobody realized or they didn't say that 14:36 it's at the same height at the same height would it would still wouldn't have been great but you would have missed it by quite a bit could have been 14:43 a th000 feet higher it could have been 200 feet lower but it was exactly at the same height and somebody should have 14:49 been able to point that out so all of this is going to be studied but it just seems to me from a couple of words that 14:57 I like to use the words common sense uh some really bad things 15:03 happened and some things happened that shouldn't have happened so you had a helicopter going 15:10 in identical Direction you had a helicopter that was at the exact same 15:15 height as somebody going in essentially the opposite direction you had a plane that was following a track which is a 15:22 track that every other plane followed and I I don't imagine I know I've heard today that they might have 15:28 been following the preceding plane which was pretty close but not that close uh the preceding plane but you wouldn't 15:34 have even been able to see that because of the direction that the helicopter was coming in at so you had a uh Confluence 15:41 of of bad decisions that were made and uh you have people that lost 15:49 their lives violently lost their lives"
SO, helicopters- they go UP , they go DOWN. They even go Straight UP and Straight DOWN.
He said that COULD be the cause, but was intentionally vague and said, "We just don't know for sure" - as to not feed the MSM trolls
With what we know so far, I'm leaning towards POTUS using the DEI story as a smoke screen and to further awaken the normies about that specific subject.
In other words, keep digging. This presser is similar to the non specificity of the drone statement a few days ago. "Nothing to see here folks, just more DEI fallout" when in actuality there's more to the habbening than that.
I tuned in just in time to hear him talking about Buttigieg and something about some bullshit!!!
