Still, point taken and having his big dog he wanted with him, opting to drive vs fly, was a godsend. Still, the guy has to be pretty heartbroken about all his fellow athletes on that flight having perished. I bet this incident will change his outlook on life.

God was looking out for him. God must have plans for this young man.
Reminds me of the Twilight Zone where the old man and dog who died were welcomed to "heaven" but told his dog could not go with him, so he said, "yep, well, if it's not good enough for my old dog, it's not good enough for me neither" and then they kept on walking.
