Random Chinese War: 700,000 Dead. Entire province depopulated. No major change to Domestic political situation
Era Defining War in Europe in the same period: 30,000 Dead. Collapse of Centuries old Empire in warring successor states. Permanently changes the balance of power in the region.
We could become increasingly verbose and never scratch the surface of the insanity of either side.
Random Chinese war: 30-40 million dead, emperor tortured to death and his body parts mailed to a thousand cities, 1 million civilians eaten during a siege (the besieging party also ate civilians), no notable change to domestic politics and a similar war would erupt within 5 years. Somehow, the dynasty never changed.
Random European war: between 45,500 and 46,500 dead (historians are still sending death threats to each other over the true number), multiple dynasties were extinguished, the jews were expelled from ten duchies and 37 cities, the effects of the war on the HRE are still studied to this day despite very little fighting in the HRE.
