I was reading a PDF that someone linked I think yesterday here, but forgot to save. It had a cleanse that you would do for 3 months with NAC, oregano oil, and some other supplement. Does anyone know what that cleanse is? Supposed to clear a candida overgrowth. Tried doing a search but can't find it.
Edit: Found it! Took a while but popped up in a thread in search. https://www.docdroid.net/file/download/FX4DpXm/cdf-nac-protocol-pdf.pdf
I can’t help in finding a prior post, but I can share that years ago one of my friends had a serious case of candida overgrowth and overcame it in approximately three months by eliminating anything and everything that contained any yeast (breads, crackers, etc.), all starchy vegetables, all fruits, all sweets/sugar, and by basically eating eggs, meats, fish, poultry, and leafy greens. Most dairy, except kefir, was also eliminated. Everything had to be cooked - no raw veggies (easier on the digestion).
I did find the pdf and updated my post.
Thank you for the info! I may have to go that route. Last spring I got pneumonia bad and the antibiotics wrecked my system. Things have never been the same.
You’re very welcome. My friend was in the exact same situation - had pneumonia and was given heavy duty antibiotics which caused lots of damage. The diet worked like a charm. I’ll add that part of it included eating only fresh foods - nothing canned, packaged, or prepared (too many potential additives/preservatives). I trust that you, too, can regain your health by this simple method.
Well, that's great to hear given it was the exact same situation.
You may still have to take probiotics to return the good bacteria to you gut.
I did take probiotics for a month afterwards, which did help. Specifically, with digestion and getting normal stools to return. I probably should do another month.

Was it its own post or a comment, if you recall?
I found it! Finally a post in search had it in the comments.

Glad you found it - been a while since I saw that one come up.
Jim Humble also has a mold/fungus protocol that would potentially help candida, uses MMS and clay: https://www.heartmindhealing.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/MMS-Jim-Humble-book.pdf
Thank you. I will give this a read.
Most awesome. Thanks for forgetting to save lol Long read but totally on it.
I thought it was a comment someone made with a link. I tried going back through posts I read yesterday but can't find it.
I know what worked for me, and I was riddled with it.
Carnivore diet. That is: meat, coffee (with cream) and not much else, salt. Do this for at least a month. Some people can't handle the cream - up to you. Drink pickle juice (salt/vinegar/pepper/olive oil) if really desperate for sugary treats.
This means cutting all carbs. IF you are gunna break the regimen: becos sugar withdrawal wobblies - add ONE tablespoon of cooked white rice to the evening meal.
No other grains, bread, pasta, chips, and absolutely no sugars, no alcohols and also veg and fruit - its all food for bacteria. Sorry. Try snacking on a tbs of good butter for rumbly hungry tum. Aim for 1lb of meat a day, if active (I couldn't manage that much, btw - but start there).
In the first three weeks, one's gut is going to dump all the bacteria in the gut. ONe will experience a fascinatingly clean kitchen. Be prepared to sleep during the day, too - in utter relief.
Thank you for the info! I may have to go the carnivore route. I had a strong antibiotic last spring and it really messed me up. Still not the same.
Yes, antibiotics are pretty brutal. I avoid them as much as possible. The aftereffects of yuck, can last for months and months. the temptation is to eat junk, just to keep some semblance of energy bouncing and yoyoing around. And that just makes it worse.
In my opinion, try focusing on fermented foods - yoghurt and very blue cheese and good salami (raw, fermented, dried meat).
or add sauerkraut, kimchi, and gherkin pickles (check ingredients) if still hovering on KETO. And I mean, eat these as a snack, instead of standard TV munchies. The fermented vegetables are good for digestive issues, but can be explosive (!)if one is already used to a strictly carnivore diet. That's a see-as-you-go thing. But the sauerkraut can change your energy levels.
I had read into that sauerkraut did help in this area. I will add to the list. Thanks.
LOL at the bacon thing. It dries out iin the fridgindair f you don't eat it all. Who's for angels on horseback? Oysters inside bacon rolled and skewered, on the grill
Ah man 'o man...drool on me pillow now.
Or rumaki...bacon wrapped chicken liver...burrrp
In the area of the South where I am, chicken livers done right is automatic legend status!
I love chicken liver patay - chicken livers, raw, with lard 30% or more and salt/Black pepper. Blend. Pour into basin and bake in slow oven. Pour melted lard on top when cooling. Put in fridge. Eat when cold.
My goodness.
Or Big Balls - mincedbeef or pork, or combination, BIG meatballs cooked 30 mins in salted water. Makes very delidious gravy. Favorite with bodybuilding teens.
