Trump Set to Replace $800,000 EB-5 Visa Program for Wealthy Foreign Investors with New $5 Million 'GOLD CARD' That Would Grant U...
In a bold move, President Trump unveils the "Gold Card," a $5 million visa program designed to attract elite investors and reshape U.S. immigration, potentially generating trillions in revenue.
It doesn't grant citizenship, it puts them on the path to citizenship. Trump made that very clear in his press conference.
Clickbait Pundit always leaving out the little details....
Clickbait Pundit 😂
Well, with a fag at the helm one should expect some form of fuckery... you just can't beat a born-again believer who hasn't fallen into sin... whatever they touch will surely turn into the purest gold. Until it happens Gateway will never rise above gold-plated nickle.
I don’t think this replaces the original visas, I think it adds another level for those who can afford it.
Yep, having wealthy people spend money in the US definitely doesn't hurt.
I have this vague memory that there would have been, years ago, something similar, that immigrants who would have been able to bring 2 million with them could have "bought", sort of, a green card just because they brought that much money with them.
If I remember right it probably was so long ago that with inflation that 5 million for the "gold card" is pretty close to what that 2 million was once worth.
And yes, I was once interested of the possibility of immigrating to your country, so I looked in it, but I never had what that would have required - legally - not enough money or an education in anything wanted for immigrants in my younger years. Partly because around the time when I was born my parents had considered immigrating, and I was once told they had actually been able to get the permits for that, but mother then changed her mind and they didn't. And of my father's family, four siblings had all gone there in the beginning of the 20th century, except my grandfather came back to Finland. So your country has always seemed sort of connected to my family. I do have relatives there, and if my mother hadn't had that change of heart I would have grown up as an American.
"President Donald Trump is once again proving why he is the ultimate dealmaker.
On Tuesday, the 45th president announced his latest economic and immigration reform initiative: the “Gold Card” visa, a $5 million fast-track to U.S. citizenship aimed at attracting top-tier investors and job creators.
This move would completely replace the Employment-Based Fifth Preference Immigrant Investor Program (EB-5), which has long been criticized for rampant abuse, corruption, and exploitation by foreign nationals seeking cheap access to America.
During a press briefing, Trump laid out his bold new plan, emphasizing that the days of handing out Green Cards like candy are over.
Instead, under his administration, only serious investors with proven financial strength would be allowed to buy their way into the American Dream—while simultaneously helping reduce the U.S. deficit."
"Pres. Trump: We’re going to be doing something else. It’s going to be very good. We’re going to be selling a Gold Card. You have a Green Card—this is a Gold Card. We’re going to be putting a price on that card of about $5 million, and that’s going to give you Green Card privileges plus. It’s going to be a route to citizenship.
Wealthy people will be coming into our country by buying this card. They’ll be wealthy and successful, and they’ll be spending a lot of money, paying a lot of taxes, and employing a lot of people. We think it’s going to be extremely successful. It’s never been done before—anything like this—but it’s something that we’re going to be putting out over the next [two weeks."
Hmmmm.... sounds interesting.
As long as they don't give it to CCP - that is a risk. CCP would definitely exploit a program like that.
If he sells 1 million Gold Cards that's 5 trillion dollars....
