Why does a country of 300+ M people need to import chinese & indians (and russians in the 90s) to do the mathematics & technology related work? To the point that by now they've flooded all the university positions & tech company positions?
Part of the answer lies in the abysmal state of education.
Incidentally, most of the russians that still live in the us send their kids to russian math classes. From a very early age (5 or so).
This is great! I'm gonna save this and work on educating myself up to an 8th grade level in my spare time. See if I can undo some of that damage done to me during my time in public school.
Diagramming was a cool thing they used to teach in school to show how each word in a sentence was related to the subject and predicate. It was a whole process you did on the blackboard or notebook and there were special rules. What it taught you were the parts of speech REALLY well and you knew EXACTLY which part of speech each word in the sentence was. In this case, Lord was the main noun of the subject, modified by The. Loveth is the verb and giver is the object (loves who/what?). Then "a" and "cheerful" are article and adjective modifying giver. We were taught this whole exercise by a scary nun in 6th grade who was like a tank: Sr. Leona... but we sure knew our grammar and sentence structure by the end of the year!
Yes ^^ this! I can still see the writing on the blackboard and in my note book where you had to diagram it out and you had better use a ruler to draw your lines neatly!
The Dept. of Education/Rockefeller needs to be burnt to the ground. John Rockefeller Sr., Andrew Canergie, used their money & power to lie, cheat, steal, murder for more money & power. They controlled the education of America through the Dept of Education. K-12 college, they determined what would be taught, what would be completely forgotten.. They are responsible for the erasing of our history.. and so much more.
I went to school in the 50s and 60s and wasn't the best student but I had excellent teachers. Why I didn't make the highest grades was that the subjects weren't easy and required actual study. It's tragic how under-educated today's youth seem to be but it's obvious my generation is plainly smarter. It's painful to watch the youtube street interviews with people who can't answer the simplest questions.
Ummm... I don't see any questions about WWI and WWII for some reason. Nothing about civil rights movement either. Nothing about computer programming. Wonder why? 🤔
Of course you can't teach the history and technology that hadn't existed yet, so as you add more knowledge, something has to be sacrificed. A lot of geography and grammar was found to be less important, so of course it was removed.
Wow this is great . I’d flunk this and I went to school years ago , I can’t imagine what the kids are being taught now ! Well yeah I do !

Wow. I can see I am not even half way there even coming from where I was in high school. This is good to home school.
That pandemic was meant for bad thing but God really turns it around for good and now we are here.
Always good to learn
Make Intelligence Mandatory Again
And
Make Ability Mandatory Again.
Me too. It’s embarrassing how dumb we are now compared to 100 years ago.
I went to school in the 60s and 70s and we were already dumbed down. It's far worse now...

Kind of ironic that a hotshot spelling exam can't even spell correctly: "Physiology - what does the liver secrate"
I would fail to understand some of these questions. "Diagram: The Lord loveth a cheerful giver". What does that even mean?

Before pro choice there was multiple choice
Even most phds can't answer those questions.
Oh hell I failed! I remember a good bit of the stuff, but boy some of those questions threw me for a loop.

Grammar question 3. "What is a personal pronoun?"
So you're saying strong drink is in order? On a Wednesday evening? Oh hell, I like the cut of your jib.
