The Senate rules are bullshit. The 60 vote rule is made up, there is nothing in the US Constitution requiring it. Effectively therefore, 7 Demonrat Senators control the country not, President Trump and his mandate by the people.
The 60 vote rule, if allowed to stand, along with the high jacking by activists judges, means electing a President doesn't mean jack. Therefore, this country is broken with no hope of repair. It's simple, two branches can overrule one. Right now it is the Executive branch that is being neutered.
The constitution does allow for each chamber to make its own rules. So while the 60 vote threshold, for filibusters and voting to break them, does seem to be unfair, the original intention of the rule was for there to be united support for any bill that came before the Senate.
