As an FYI, hospital stays in Mexico are 100% free for everyone. Outpatient medical care is paid out of pocket, but if you are hospitalized for any reason, the hospitals do not charge their admitted patients. How good the hospitals are may be questionable, but that is the case in the US, too.
And outpatient medical care is cheap (by US standards, probably not cheap for the average Mexican) and it's easy to get into see the doctor. They have many great doctors. Medication is also cheap, and a lot of medicine that is prescription only in the US is OTC in Mexico (like anti-parasiticals). There is a reason that tons of Americans, especially retirees, are moving to Mexico.
Tons of Canadians are moving to Mexico, too. While healthcare is nearly free in Canada, the wait times to see doctors are so long that many Canadians go to Mexico for timely healthcare.
One of my friends moved to Mexico after Biden won. He and his wife lived there for two months before they witnessed something that scared them both bad enough they bought the next flight back to America and never went back. Neither of them will talk about what they saw, I'm assuming probably cartel related
I just spent some time in Mexico City and it might have been one of the best experiences I've had. Met another couple who had been living there for the past 6 months.

Seeing the heads of people that dissed the cartel laying around might account for something like that...
