"HHS said layoffs are expected to save $1.8 billion annually — about 0.1% — from the department’s $1.7 trillion budget, most of which is spent on Medicare and Medicaid health insurance coverage for millions of Americans.
The layoffs are expected to shrink HHS to 62,000 positions, lopping off nearly a quarter of its staff — 10,000 jobs through layoffs and another 10,000 workers who took early retirement and voluntary separation offers. Many of the jobs are based in the Washington area, but also in Atlanta, where the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is based, and in smaller offices throughout the country.

Needs to happen, wonder what court will try to stop this one?
Good !!!!!
Don't let the door hit your 10,000 butt's on your way out.
I do feel for the innocent employees being laid off. Obviously it is for the good of our country and we can’t just give people jobs because we feel bad for them, but it does suck for the lower tier employees. No sympathy whatsoever for any of the higher ups who were involved in the grifting and corruption though of course
is all 10,000 true in personworking employees or is it people working from home money being laundered like it makes you wonder
It's kind if sad to see people celebrating other's misfortunes. Hard to call one's self a Christian while being so very unchristlike. Headed down a slippery slope.
This is fantastic!
That's a decent start.
