This is the blurb under the photo, so you don't even have to read the article to see that your premise of them "surrendering" is just asinine:

"EU pauses". Not drops. Pauses.
"After Trump backs down on tariff hike". That means he did it first.
So if pausing tariffs is a form of "surrender", then we have surrendered to the entire group of countries we put tariffs on, except China. Since we kept the Chinese tariffs.

Again, I'm not saying Trump surrendered.
I was pointing out the error in the "logic" the other person was using.
Because they said the EU "surrendered" because they paused their tariffs.
I was pointing out that Trump paused our tariffs first.
So, if pausing tariffs constitutes "surrendering" (it doesn't), then it would mean that Trump surrendered as well, because he did the exact same thing.
It's a "What's good for the goose is good for the gander" type situation.
I really don't know how to make it anymore clear than I already have.
It's not "name calling" when it's an accurate assessment of what you are. Obviously fascists don't like to be called out as fascists. Neither do trolls like to be called out as trolls nor do hypocrites like to be called out as hypocrites.
Nowhere in your original post, or anywhere else until I pointed out that the article itself contradicted your statements, did you say anything about their truthfulness being questionable.
When someone makes a claim, such as you did in saying that the EU surrendered, and they link an article, it's because they're using that article to support their statement.
To link an article that you don't even trust to be true to support your statement makes zero sense. NONE.

Even with that these forums have their share of intelligent people I enjoyed your discourse earlier. I know enough about the tarriffs to believe that it'll work out and I'm not stressed about it, but posts like yours helped lay things out clearly. So thank you for that. Me I'm here for the long run, been following Q stuff since 2018 or 19 can't remember lol and I've been on these forums since Cat messaged me on TDW and invited me here. I mostly watch, and pray, not out of fear, but it's a huge undertaking and some intercession doesn't hurt at all.

Before all this began, our tariffs were at 2.5%. Trump raised them to 10% then all the complaining and dooming and threats of retaliation occurred. Trump then put up the reciprocal tariffs based on what each country had on our imports. Trumps pause to allow those who did not retaliate and showed a desire to negotiate only brought the tariffs back to the 10% which is now being collected. Trump raised the tariffs universally 400% and you call that "surrendering". You clearly are not seeing the "Art of the Deal" that is being used.

I am pointing out the flaw in RussiaIsAlwaysRight's logic here that other countries are "surrendering" by pausing their tariffs.
It wasn't President Trump's action of raising the tariffs that I was speaking of. It was President Trump pausing those tariffs.
I apologize for not making that excruciatingly clear.
The first raising of the tariffs occurred early last week, up 400% to 10%. Then all the world and the leftists started screaming and dooming and threatening retaliation. Then Trump responded by putting on the reciprocal tariff rates. That caused the rest of the world, except China, to call for negotiations and wanting to come and talk and lower their tariffs. Trump response was to pause the reciprocal tariffs, but the 10% tariffs are still in place. That is a 400% increase from where our tariffs were originally. The 90 day pause is still a win, that is my point. Have a good day fren, I am just trying to add perspective and the great negotiating genius Trump has used to still make this all a win.

Sometimes I wonder at the maturity level of people on this board. Is always pointing out what someone has posted the correct thing to do? Maybe just read the articles for yourselves and decide what you want to believe and leave it at that. Don't post or say anything. This is part of the reason I'm selective in how I post. Most of the time I won't reply to someone else because it leads to this kind of behavior. Done with rant.
