And so he should. there are plenty of competent CEO's in DOGE who will carry on the good fight.
Hopefully but I am not confident.
I have more trust in the outcast marginal nerd.
understood.
IIRC him and Trump both spoke about this a couple of weeks ago, including that Elon had envisaged heading up DOGE until about May.
Everyone is missing the point.
He originally said a year go back and see.
Remember when regular people went to Washington, did their civic duty, and then went back home?
Yes.
In his own words he said he originally said a year.
He is not in charge
Ok.
Yeah it was before any of us were born. We've suffered lifetime politicians
He has to step back in May because he was appointed as a Special Government Employee which has a statutory limit.
Full disclosure, I didn’t read the article, so maybe they said that.
In his own words ge said he would be there a year.
Go research.
Here’s my primary source for Musk’s status as a Special Government Employee. He is actually one of many scattered throughout the Administration.
It’s also interesting to note he does not direct the day-to-day activities of DOGE, that is done by the Acting Administrator, Amy Gleason.
Also interesting this class of employee was created in 1962 under JFK.
So, I have no idea why Musk said he would be there a year. But, his status only permits working 130 days per year for the Government.

No Deep State destroyed his company.
He was a temp worker. Why is this a story? It is a duh moment. He can only put in 180 days as a temp.
People can't do simple fucking math.
Top story!!!! The Sun will rise again tomorrow? News at 11!
He originally said a year.
On average, a full-time employee works about 2,080 hours per year.
Elon works 16 hour days. 130 * 16 is 2080. Jokes on Dems, he has done a year's worth of work already.
Kek.
