Progress means to move forward. Regress means to move backward. I guess Congress means not to move at all.

TBH. If you look at Historic track records. Congress has generally has the worst track record as a branch of Government than the other two combined and who it was composed of didn’t seem to have any bearing on their success rate. And I am counting from the inking of the Constitution forward including when its ranks counted esteemed founders of our nation.

Every major issue the country has had. They’ve either completely bungled or ultimately made worse. It was mostly the Judicial and Executive who’ve done the bulk of the work in actually trying to hold the country together and make the United States work. Which has been of questionable success at least depending on who you ask. And what Congress did accomplish and claim to their credit was more or less the result of either the Judicial or Executive Branch twisting their arm. Or what their Donors deemed useful. At least depending on the era.
