I remember a couple of years ago when WalMart tried to sell pints of "Pride Ice Cream" - rainbow-colored vanilla ice cream. I live in Texas. In my area they had so much left over they clearanced it down to 25 cents and still had to throw it away. Took up a whole end-cap refrigerated unit.
