I am a faithful catholic but this choice is BAD. We are going from bad to hit buttom. It seems like the Cabal Cardinals had already a plan to select this bad guy. Thanks to Bergolio who selected all liberals cardinals to make sure the church will cntinue to be liberal. When they announced the new person, I immediately doubted that we were going to have a conservative pope. It did not take that long to elect this new guy, because they already knew. Liberals called "catholics" are celebrating this new person. This can tell you everything you need to know.
YOU MaruQ have eloquently expressed my same thoughts when I was getting a haircut of all places...I am beginning to wonder WHAT is coming down the pike next with this NEW "POPE"!!!!!!!!
I pray that we are NOT on the verge of another "turbulent" reign!!!!!!!!!
Pray that this gets fixed or found out quickly!!!!!!!
And what do you think. Are you so naive? Catholicism has its roots in pedophilia. They think we're all stupid the whole structure of the Catholic Church encourages same sex between men the monasteries same sex between women the nunnaries. They think we are stupid. This is not how God wanted it to be
I have to add to my above comment the pedophilia I got so involved I forgot about the pedophilia they grown little boys to be Walter boys they groom little girls to be nuns. They encourage having nothing to do with the opposite sex and people haven't seen that yet
I'm sorry, I was following sources and seemed to have missed that this didn't explictly call out Prevost. I followed this article from 2021 talking about the incident in 2000.
Sorry, Poe's law and all, it wouldn't shock me to find a super hard-liner Catholic on here.
At the very least, papal infallibility is a very recent doctrine, as far as the history of the Catholic Church goes, so it's not exactly unreasonable to see it vanish post-GAW
I’m a hard liner Catholic. Catholicism has stood up to Judaism, Islam and Freemasonry for longer than most of your churches have been around. I was on 4chan when Q first posted and followed the movement here. Watching people lie about the church for the past ummm eight years has been exhausting.
My primary issue with the Catholic church is that of Matthew 23, primarily verses 8-12. Jesus in talking about "teachers of the law" and the Pharisees bring up a rather poignant point in regarding to the role of the higher leaders in the current Church.
“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Why should I heed the teaching of those occupying the seat of Peter, when I have only one teacher, Jesus? Why listen to those claiming to be more holy or worthy than I, when we are all supposed to be brothers before God?
To be clear, I don't think that the Catholic church needs to be razed to the ground or anything like that, but the current paradigm of establishmentarian spiritual teachers in the Catholic church, as hammered home with your article. eerily resembles the very Pharisees that Jesus was talking about.
Why should I heed the teaching of those occupying the seat of Peter, when I have only one teacher, Jesus?
Heeding the teachings of those occupying the Seat of Peter (the Pope) is rooted in the belief that Jesus established a visible Church with a structure of authority to guide His followers. In Matthew 16:18-19, Jesus says to Peter, “You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church… I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven.” Catholics interpret this as Jesus appointing Peter as the first leader of His Church, with the authority to bind and loose, a role that continues through his successors, the Popes.
While Jesus is the ultimate Teacher and Head of the Church, Catholics believe He entrusted the Church with the mission to teach and safeguard His truth (Matthew 28:19-20). The Pope, as the successor of Peter, is seen as the visible head of the Church on earth, guided by the Holy Spirit to preserve the deposit of faith (John 16:13). This does not replace Jesus’ teachings but ensures they are faithfully interpreted and applied amidst changing times.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 882) states, “The Pope… enjoys, by the divine assistance promised to him in blessed Peter, that infallibility which the divine Redeemer willed his Church to have in defining doctrine concerning faith or morals.” Thus, Catholics are called to heed the Pope’s authoritative teachings, especially on matters of faith and morals, as an extension of obedience to Christ, who established this structure.
This does not diminish Jesus as the one Teacher but reflects the Catholic belief that He works through His Church, including the Petrine office, to guide believers. The Pope’s role is to serve as a steward of Christ’s teachings, not to supplant them, ensuring unity and fidelity to the Gospel.
and it begins....again

I think of DJT's method of turning the spotlight on, forcing them out into the LIGHT.
Leo III was a great, magnificent pope.

Matthew 23 is pretty much the only thing I can say to papal infallibility.
Exactly. I have NEVER understood this Catholic doctrine.
As Rush would say, I was illustrating absurdity by being absurd.
