Their jewelry is so crappy. I'm always astounded how people will line up for hours to buy something from them. Maybe they'll learn not to exploit Thai people.
Also doesn't need a thousand American's trained to do the work and then a few hundred quit to do their own version, only better. Corporations are all about cheap labor and preventing competition.
Excuses, excuses. Dude's had plenty of time to look for, find, and train Americans. He just doesn't want to because he knows we won't work for $2-5 per hour like the Thai will.
Time for Americans to boycott mass produced, over priced jewelry that uses mass produced, lab created gemstones.
It was mass-marketing that made their name. The concept was also cheap and cute. People tend to want to fit in, and respond to big advertizing. So unique hand-made pieces are just odd to them. But the charm-bracelet aspect made the trinkets kinda, sorta personalized and unique.
On the other hand, what the CEO is really signalling is that they have established networks to source their work, and are not willing to re-train educated goldsmiths and university educated (but American) artists and such. Prolly cheap trinkets from slave labor, BTW. Maybe not choose that brand if one was to buy American.
I remember the seventies when there were travelling 'cheap' jewellery makers visiting a round of markets. They'd be making stuff in leather and silver wire and glass beads, and carry trays of antique pieces, for breaking down: they were in my town every week, and that stuff was fascinating, just because the trays changed and I even found a gold watch in one tray, one time. It didn't work, but still.
But people changed their shopping habits, I guess.
People are marketed to that if they don't have those things they don't fit in society.
It all began with the Air Jordan sneakers for little kids in the early 90s, for $200. The escalation of this materialism has forced public grammar school to adopt khaki uniforms. Because it was working and children were definitely treated as inadequate.l, dividing little piers. After that it was on to adults.
Where did the handbag craze start?.
Louis Vuitton, Coach, Kate Spade and now Michael Kors.
In the early 2000s it was Posh Spice now part of the Beckham influencing duo! Media began showing Posh with handbags half of her size, holding them out in front of her, n a way you don't carry a purse. But everyone noticed and now handbags are a status symbol.
Then it was makeup! M.A.C. etc and overpriced perfume. All mkutra marketing for masses under mind control.
We see people standing in line for the next iPhone I know I can't really afford. They are driving junk cars and wearing dirty clothing hanging off of them, all standing in line waiting for the store to open
All while already talking on a phone! No one can decipher needs over wants. No one has a good financial picture. But that was the design, to just consume, consume, consume!
It has made me absolutely hate shopping! I only do it when I need it.

Here is a guy who started out of the trunk of his car in south Louisiana.
Anyone in the business knows the name. Even Pandora.
Yes, our house shook side-to-side, but we have no foundation damage that I can detect. We are about 20-25 miles from Greenback, and the USGS is reporting that a 4.1 quake hit there. I've heard that it was felt as far away as Franklin, NC, and Chattanooga, TN.
Sounds like he used the Rolex model. Make it in Asia for pennies, convince everyone it's "exclusive" and "hand crafted by artisans", and sell for big bucks to easily influenced morons.
Since americans can do ANYTHING, it must be the slave wages that Pandora really needs. So, fine, use the Thais, but unfortunately, your crap jewelry will be tarriffed at 300%!!!!!!! THat's the answer!
Nothing says "quality" like junk costume jewellery slapped together by third world wage-slaves. The easiest way to find out if a business is MAGA or not: check their website for a DEI (Didn't Earn It) pledge...
It's not talent they can't find. It's the $1.26/hr minimum wage.
Accurate. Canada's North has Diamonds but the Native Canadians refused to work for the low-ball wages the nice Diamond Merchants proposed.
I'm pretty sure we will be fine, without their crappy jewelry.
Oh Man! ------ and just when I was about to order a set of Liberace rings......
Their jewelry is so crappy. I'm always astounded how people will line up for hours to buy something from them. Maybe they'll learn not to exploit Thai people.
The sheep are trained to buy their crappy trinkets. It amazes me. My buddies wife has a ton of them. The look like a child designed them!
Nothing I hate more than mass produced jewelry that is completely over-priced and exploits it's workers in overseas sweat shops

But I love Ring Pops
A silver circle bracelet they were with small charms you add. Oh come on!

And, now it is time for Americans to start up and make their own. No really.
We did it before, right, Mr. Tiffany?
That’s not jewelry, it’s mall trinkets
My niece went to University to be a jewelry craft person, couldn't get a job making jewelry unless she had her own business!
Start looking Pandora jackasses!
what university teaches one to be a jewelry craftsman?

TN Bangoman- did you just feel that earthquake? Hit about 30 minutes ago center southeast of Greenback?

Hey, it beats working for a living...
Saying something so stupid and anti American should be a fireable offense.
It's amazing they find that [slave labor] talent in sub 85 iq countries
