Because we are light. Literally, figuratively. We are God's creations who finally are able to see the grand design of the entire creation and we squander it fighting and thinking gold or silver matters. What a gift from God we have. What a pathetic group of humans. We must be better.
Kirlian photography proves this is true. I've always found this fascinating.
You're mistaken. Kirlian photography doesn’t show your soul or life energy, it shows the tiny electric sparks that happen when something (like your finger) touches a metal plate with high voltage. You’d get the same glow from a coin or a wet leaf. It’s science, not spirit magic. Literally this works with ANYTHING conductive with low enough resistance.
The myth that if you cut part of the leaf and run the same experiment, you'll see the residual glow from where the leaf WAS, that myth came from a misrepresented experiment in the 1970s by Semyon and Valentina Kirlian. when other independent l scientists tried to replicate it, they couldn’t. Turns out, the “phantom leaf” effect was caused mostly by residual moisture but also contamination and/or double exposures on the photographic plate. If you clean the plate properly and control the environment, the ghost effect disappears.
This is the equivalent of seeing Jesus in your toast.

I believe that is our life force, I and others can see it and play with it. The more you pay attention to what is going on around you, the easier it is to see and good or bad energy. I believe this is part of the reason POTUS holds rallies, to recharge.
If you lay down in the grass on a sunny day and look where the trees meet the sky, you can easily see their energy field or aura glowing around the trees.
Many of us can see other's energy field and even colors, under the right lighting conditions. It's not magic... but it is subtle.
The fact of the "matter" is that we are light. God is light... this is shown repeatedly in religious icons, symbols and artwork.

This would explain why at the moment of conception, there is a light. We didn't have the technology to see it until recently, and no known reason for it, but there it is.
