So what did Ortiz do for 6 years between her deportation order for not showing up and her new motion in late 2024. Seems like November got her worriedβ¦. She had six years to do it and did nothing, Her story is tragic, yesβ¦. But she SHOULD have made her hearing six years ago and fought to stay ever since. She probably would be a citizen by now. Her pickle is her own damn fault!
Iβm sure her story rings true for someone, I am not the one to judge that from my armchair for her. But I do judge the fact that she made no effort to defend herself or her child ability to stay in a legal manner till it was too late. She missed that boat that sailed while things were in her favor. There is no excuse for no effort! Whether her story is true or not! Being afraid of the consequences is no excuse to not try to correct. The ultimate consequences were known when she came here if she did not follow a process. Even that is not guaranteed, but it IS the only way.
Outstanding! The MSM needs to stop with the poor immigrant narrative. Every friggen hispanic woman has multiple children and claims baby daddy is not in the picture and if he is, he "helps her out" with a nominal amount each month so she and the kids qualify for SNAP and Medicaid. Don't believe the bullshit narrative that they have been force feeding you. They are making more money that they do not claim taxes on, than you or I. Seize their assets. They ALL have multiple bank accounts! They keep one with less than $100 in it to show to government agencies to show their need for assistance. They NEVER show you the other ones that several thousand dollars go through every month.
βShe is a mother of an autistic child, she has no criminal history, and they have all of her background information,β
So your child gets food stamps and Medicaid compliments of the US Citizen tax payers plus all the additional assistance we pay for for his special schooling. Oh, news flash, being in this country illegally is a crime so that narrative is shot to shit. We have your background info, that means a notice was mailed to the address you provided. It is funny how the notices that tell them to appear at court or that they needed to "renew" their SNAP or Medicaid benefits never seem to arrive where they are living, but we had all your info.
"Ortiz, 32, who earns $13 an hour in her job at a meatpacking plant in Pennsylvania, has lived in the United States for a decade, after fleeing El Salvador to escape a violent ex-partner and gang threats, she said in an interview and in immigration paperwork. "
A very good friend of mine did the asylum interviews for ICE. He said before they even came in for their interview he could write up his report on what she was going to say. She parrots the exact same story every single woman said when coming here and claiming asylum!
First: Claim abuse at the hands of a husband, boyfriend, etc.
Second: Claim gang threats even though she could not provide anything that indicated she specifically was threatened or that she had any connection, however remote, to a gang, other that living in a country that has "gangs."
"Lawyers said clients who received the notices also included spouses of U.S. citizens, who were actively trying to legalize their immigration status."
Don't you just love how they throw that in. What they forget to tell you is that they are here illegally and married a "citizen" who is most likely the child of another illegal born here, thinking that they will not be deported when the time comes.

They are not here to become Americans citizens. Ever hear of La Raza?
Thatβs a pretty broad statement for millions of people. I agree to a point.
Her story is not tragic it's contrived. Just like the 2020 election.

And she canβt speak English either.
She has been working? How? Does she have to have paperwork to do so?
Time to interview her employer...
She probably does. Biden's administration was handing out work permits like candy. You could be illegal but have a valid work permit.
Migrants is offensive, criminal illegal alien invaders is the propert term they like.
Totally agree, thanks.
Good.
Aka self deportation
βItβs one thing after the other,β she said. βThis whole process has cost us so much money.β
Not nearly as much as the US citizens had to pay for your ass.
The only way. Keep yourself here, you are going to end paying more than 2 millions or go to jail
illegal is illegal GTFO.......didnt get a notice =BULLSHIT.....
I have no sympathy.

A whole different mindset.

Ilhan Omar right now.

So if she married a citizen and then was deported as an illegal, is her husband liable for her fine?
In addition to paying his "wife's: fine he should also be thrown in jail for harboring a criminal.
"Punishable by fine" means "legal for the rich."
Who's paying for them?
