I am 36, I was raised by Boomers and as a kid whenever you fucked up they would tell you to be responsible
But personal responsibility is a conservative value today. They generally want to be responsible for themselves and have the government do less for them and get it of the way.
So how did we get raised by people who seemed conservative but were actually leftists in the end?
Why are so many younger people lumping all people of the "Boomer" generation into a certain ideaology? Every generation has its share of people who lean one way and others that lean the other. Generalizations only serve to divide, which the enemy would like to see happen. This is a battle of good vs evil, not older vs younger. Don't let the enemy distract you with a focus on divisions that are unfruitful.

Because the way the world has been set up, it’s always us vs. them. Every group has an enemy group.
Because what we have now was actually mostly set up by people who are members of the boomer generation. So all boomers get the blame. Boomers are the generation that claimed in their youth, often very loudly (at least according to the MSM of those times), that they would make the world better, fix everything, and, well, they, or we, pretty much failed.
Okay, I don't like to think of myself as a boomer because I am nearly Gen X and when growing up thought that the hippies, the most boomer thing to me then, especially as the cut-off for the boomer generation was then considered to be at least five years before I was born, were mostly idiots with a pretty damn stupid ideology, but whatever.
well, I think talking crap about boomers is just another ploy to divide us. if that is what you kids are into, so be it. just tell me if I am wasting my time even trying to make America great again...
In case you didn't notice, I do say it, I was born in the mid-60s. How old are you?
And maybe it is different in America, but I am in Europe, and I am rather disappointed in my own generation, and the ones a bit older and a bit younger. My experience of way too many of them is that they mostly spend their lives being way too idealistic, they tried to make things work the way they thought they should work, and voted for people who sold them daydreams instead of trying to find out what actually would work and then trying to get people who also did that into power.
Boomers are spoiled children of WW 2 vets and workers. Reality is a cruel by fair teacher though.
The term "boomer" was redefined and weaponized (again) to further social engineering of the 18-45 demographics.
