Not at all. I am suggesting it is perverse to celebrate being wrong, since lives may hang on being right. People are too comfortable talking shit all the time and having no sincere concern for correctly perceiving truth or speaking honestly.

Accidents happen do they not? So yes. Even in surgery mistakes happen.
We are supposed to learn from them.
We are talking about "being wrong," not suffering an accident. There is a lot of effort in aviation to make sure things are right and not to have an accident. Most flight accidents are cases of the design being wrong, the fabrication being wrong, or the pilot being wrong. You don't get to dodge out of your own topic.
And please stops with the truth stuff. Most political talk isn’t binary.

Most political talk is loose trash. Blowing off the importance of truth is disingenuous. I can't help what other people think, and they are no refuge to protect you from being responsible for what you think, especially about being wrong (ho-hum). Calling it a picture is a good metaphor; I use that myself. And it is always the objective to discern the big picture, as least as big as you can find it.
"Speaking your mind" when your ideas are half-baked is no help to anyone. You need to know when to keep silent and wait for more information. That is not a push to make you shut up---just a caution not to glorify the free speech of fools.
