Next time do the Go-Fund-Me directly to an actual lawfirm. He's going to jail for life, while his family enjoys the instant riches. I've heard, he is not going to have an easy time in Jail.
exactly right they should have directed the funds to his law firm instead of living the very temporary hilife... now he will spend the rest of his life in prison and his family will get IRS ed

I’m going to guess they blew it all temporarily living the high-life.
It’s not a particularly unusual phenomenon. Especially for lower income families that suddenly enter into lots of money. Or for people such as Lotto Winners.
Also why professional Sports Players from poorer roots often end up damn near broke when they retire.
People who are used to not having much and for one reason or another don’t see much of a reason behind things like saving or planning beyond the short term.
Don’t often know what to do or how to respond when shitloads of money are dropped into their laps beyond spending it. Regardless of the reason they came into the money in the first place.
I heard the plan is use a PD and then appeal the decision in the end due to Inadequate Assistance

Then the Public Pretender will jump at the offer like a Greedy Clown chasing down a Sheckle on an empty street....
