How about hiring illegal immigrants to mow your lawn weekly, clean your pool or paint your house?
Just asking because I'm pretty sure the crew hired to re-tile my tub surround next week is just South of legal... and the lawn crew is questionable.
Any time I need to use the English to Spanish translator on my phone to give instructions... or speak to the youngest worker because he speaks a little English... these thoughts cross my mind mind. Never checked for papers though.
Unsure about right now, but they most definitely tried to be. I live on the eastern end of the state. Nashville is the most hostile place I've ever been. Was refused service for being white back in 2020 or 2019. About 6 of us were.
I've lived in Tennessee for 20 years and used to love going to Nashville, but no more. Like you I find it almost as hostile as Memphis. Also have experience with nasty service being white.
