I think Humanity should pick a new Sport and own and control the entire Enterprise. I believe that Cities should own the Sports Teams in their Cities and all the People own shares.
Excellent questions. The structure can be agreed upon by the Inhabitants of the City. There would be more loyalty to Franchise Players. They wouldn't be traded off so quickly. The Kids can enjoy their favorite players for longer than 2 seasons. When you turn 18, you get a Share each year. The higher your tax brackets, the more shares you get that year. If your Team is doing well, a small dividend or profit share will come your way. There are many and exciting variables that can improve the Human Experience than what we currently live with.
I like the monetary and emotional investments in the team, if the investors get an actual say on the team and some kind of return if the team does really well.
My concern is the govt deciding to "return" money to the community in the form of, for example, giving it all to their contractor buddies to build some crappy parks "for the kids" while they pocket most of it, as they currently do with everything else and this would just turn into another money stream for them costing citizens more money.
In the future, the "Government" will be run by the people with A.l. and Quantum Computers working to maintain the region in Economic and Spiritual Harmony. We need to reimagine a new World without parasitic Bankers. There will be three types of Regions, High Trust White, Middle Trust Grey and Low Trust Dark. They each will have their purposes. The White and Dark will use different currency. The grey will use a combination. There will be 3 Brotherhoods that men can join and make a career with. God's, Earth's and Man's. It is within these 3 Brother that Men will manage the World's resources and responsibilities.
But then how long before the machines turn on us, either by the people running them or the machines themselves(and I did see an article on GAW about AI starting to do something, but kind of turning on its creators, I didn't read it though).
The only good thing is machines don't need money...or do they
I don't think the leap is very far. Sports has always been a way to draw in a few more lost souls that don't understand the dangers of social programming. It starts off small, put some pink ribbons on and say you support breast cancer because our moms matter, then it turned into social justice and we need more bwracks coaching and running teams, but that wasn't good enough, let's add women too. Hey, they can even be refs maybe... I'd say all the while, the athletes were probably becoming more and more deconditioned to the idea that they had a choice to take the moral high ground. After some time, the barrier to entry is full compliance, with the promise of millions of dollars and all you have to do is kneel for the anthem and throw on rainbow shit to show how much you love trannies.
I'd say that it all happens when the money becomes too big to lose. Take the NHL as a prime example. Back in the 80s/90s the sport wasn't for everyone but damn was it fun to watch. From a skills perspective, sure it got more talented and that's just the natural progression of improving on the past. But every gay frill that comes with it now is unnerving and the people who take a stand (Ivan Provorov) are few and far between.
Probably scripted but i'll play devils advocate. If the baby was used in the ad, then maybe the parents were football fans, so the baby grew up playing football so has a far higher chance of becoming a professional than the average person.
Don't let your children spend time alone with any adults...

I like it, would they get profit sharing or dividends? or does owning shares just mean they pay a tax for the team?

Just look at female Olympic sports and the doctor who inappropriately examined many girls!!
That's been a decade now.

Agreed, but the chances of that are still probably less than you winning the lottery
So, creepy!
