It's extremely dangerous to go anywhere in MX, even on a tour bus with local translators and Mexican tour company, etc.
I remember the round abouts one had 9 or 10 people in lawn chairs dead with ice picks stabbed into their chest saying they were informants. BTW, what happened to all the children in the busses??? Whare did your children go. I don't think going to your Beutiful places is safe. You're just a cartel pretending to be a country.

I was in Peru last year and in MX the year b4 that. Not bad but maybe now it's very unsafe.

Even the luxury resorts are worrisome.
Seven years ago, my son earned a hard-won bonus at his firm and his boss offered him a cash bonus or an an all-expense paid trip to Cancun for him and his fiancée at a very exclusive resort where the boss & his wife had recently traveled to and had raved about. My son chose the trip as it appeared to be the most valuable of the two options.
Upon arrival in MX, they were met at the airport by the hotel pickup van which was an armed security team and a special bullet-proof vehicle!
As their transport vehicle neared the resort they could see that it was surrounded by a high perimeter wall and armed sentries at strategic posts.
He said it looked and felt like they were entering Jurassic World.
Once at the resort, they noticed how very few people were there. The place was isolated and exclusive but had an other worldly feel to it, that left them unsettled.
They were considering taking a day tour to visit Chichén Itzá pyramid nearby, but the hotel staff cautioned against leaving the resort.
Although they enjoyed the trip, it felt like a very dangerous place that left them grateful to be back in the states and home safely.

Of course it depends, but many places are just no longer safe. There was a television series based on real events that really exemplified the situation. It was called 'The Bridge' about the cartel influence and the trafficking of women just over the border.
The movie 'Sicario' is another that accurately portrays how dangerous it has become.
I had friends who were traveling to a rented condo on the beach in MX a couple of years ago and the travel warnings posted on the US travel advisory were so onerous, they cancelled their trip.

I think I can speak for MAGA and say we hate thieves, murderers, rapists, gang bangers, grifters, liars, those who demand privileges they have not earned (and then ask for more), terrorists and thugs no matter where they came from before sneaking into our country after being invited by Sleepy Joe's puppeteers. As a whole, I'd say the legal Hispanic immigrant population is solidly behind the MAGA movement.

Most White liberals think Mexico is a tropical fairyland, full of quaint little brown peasants, nonstop Margueritas, irresitable flamenco-dancing senoritas and fascinating Latin Lovers who wear white tuxes and look like Cesar Romero.
I've been there. It ain't like that.
No problemo, Juan, I have no plans to visit that shithole MX at ANY time in the future. Been there, saw the squalor, smelled the squalor, got a little sick from the putrid water, and was grateful to get back home.
I've traveled a lot in my lifetime, and a lot of it was throughout South and Central America, and Mexico. I've also traveled throughout Europe and the British Isles.
My south-of-the-border travels taught me that the USA is a blessed place and that I shouldn't take our way of life, our clean country, for granted.
My European travels taught me that our Constitution and freedoms are quite distinct and, dare I say, rare in this world.
In fact, I now think I'm done with travel anywhere outside the US. I've seen enough, and learned enough, that I am quite happy here at home, and I there are still things here at home I haven't seen.

If the immigrants coming here from Mexico are saying they won't go back because it's too dangerous, people need to listen to that. I know plenty of legal and illegal immigrants refusing to go back to any of the Central American countries because of the Cartels and govt corruption. Our own military has forbidden members from travelling to Mexico and other countries due to the dangers.
Everyone's free to travel where they want, just understand that there's certain risks associated with certain areas. Even trained as I am and with skills most don't have, I won't travel to certain countries because the risk is too great. Not out of fear, but out of a sense of self preservation.
