Rest in peace, Ozzy. A true legend. People who want to call him a Satanist or a degenerate clearly don't know much about him. Was he perfect? No, but he changed for the better as he grew older. He was a gentle soul, in my opinion. Many of his lyrics were spiritual, and many say he was a Christian later in life, though he didn't talk about it much. I got to see him in 2016, and I'm glad I can say that.
Most of his "satanist" stuff was making fun of them. Mr. Crowley was Ozzy making fun of people for being stupid enough to join a satanic cult. Then in the times people thought all metal music was satanic so Ozzy just ran with it. It was a marketing ploy and stage show and it worked. It worked well.
Most music and lyrics in his entire career were never written by Ozzy including his days in Black Sabbath. He got into many legal feuds with former band member over writing credits which he took the credit for despite multiple sources saying otherwise preventing proper royalty payments from being collected. According to former band mates he rarely showed up to writing sessions or rehearsals and would only contribute a rhythm that he would hum or sing before leaving the studio or rehearsal space to go do more drinking/drugs.
Here is his last solo performance from just over 2 weeks ago. Singing from a throne wheelchair. I wonder if this was just too much for him or if it actually gave him more time? It had to be hard to do that farewell concert with his advanced Parkinsons disease.
A little embarrassed to admit it, but I had some good times in my young life with Ozzy playing in the background. Never saw him as a role model, but I appreciated at least some of his music.
I've seen every one of them live, with the exception of Manson. I never got into him. Ministry was crazy. There were like 15 musicians on stage putting out that music.
I miss $15.00 concert tickets. I have a huge photo album filled front to back with ticket stubs. Today's digital tickets doesn't allow for keepsake stubs.
I have mixed feelings on Sharon as she definitely comes off as a controlling harpy, but he obviously loved her, and they talked about leaving the world together if it came down to it. I'm sure she's devastated today.
She is definitely a happy, but without her Ozzy would have been dead within a few years of being fired from Black Sabath. She turned Ozzy into the Prince of Darkness and is absolutely responsible for his success.
Holy shit.....RIP OZZY! Like him or not, I think you'd have to admit he was the best heavy metal singer of all time.... Black Sabbath practically invented heavy metal.
.....Pretty weird timing too. YT was giving me a lot of ozzy vids on the side bar during the last 2-3 days. I thought that maybe he was about to drop a new album or something!.....maybe he is not dead and just in witness protection!
I believe he sold his soul to the devil and was forced to tour until the very end. There's no quitting when musician sells his soul. You work for the devil until you die. Now that all these old rockstars are hitting that age, I think we are going to see a lot of this. Their "final" performance and then death quickly after. That is, if they dont outright just pass away while touring.
Ozzy Osbourne expressed strong support for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, particularly due to his underlying health conditions, which placed him at higher risk for severe outcomes from the virus. He stated, āI look at it like this: if I donāt get the shot and I get the virus, thereās a good chance I aināt going to be hereā.
This sentiment was echoed across multiple interviews and media appearances, where he emphasized his decision to get vaccinated as a necessary precaution for his health and safety.
Ozzy also mentioned his relief after receiving the first dose of the vaccine, describing the experience as painful but worthwhile. He told the U.K. talk show Loose Women, āAs soon as I got it, I felt relieved,ā and added that the jab āfelt like I was being stabbedā.
Despite initial hesitations and skepticism about being among the first to receive a new vaccine, Ozzy ultimately decided that the benefits outweighed his concerns, especially given his diagnosis with Parkinsonās disease and a history of respiratory issues like emphysema.
Considering how early many of his contemporaries with similar lifestyles shuffled off this mortal coil. Itās amazing he made it as long as he did.
Ron Wood and Keith Richards have him beat. š
How the hell is Richards still alive? He's looked undead since the 80s!
But they arent heavy metal singers....

RIP Ozzy. A legend of rock, the birth of metal.
Yeah, he was never a satanist. Drug addict and hedonist, yes. Satanist, no.

He knew he was at the end. Just one more performance. I watched it with a buddy and said I guarantee he passes within a few weeks.
Insane that he gave a concert 2 weeks before dying of Parkinsonās.
RIP Ozzy.

I'm sad. I found him endearing for the last 15 years or so, and I was dreading this day. Prayers for Sharon. She is so frail.
I .. A M .. I R O N .. M A N!
When he said farewell tour he meant it!
Hopefully only on the stage. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fozzy-sharon-osbourne-1980s-v0-fhu2979jpxh91.png%3Fauto%3Dwebp%26s%3D4e87f474c1a620bc821a103f3298273812b0d9f9

Yes, her money machine is gone.
Uh, you might want to catch up. Sharron is the money machine.
The only bone I ever broke happened while twirling to a Black Sabbath song.
This made me smile. Sorry about your bone, though.
It's all gouda, that was so 20 years ago lol.
I want to see video of this.
If only such a video existed.
Sad. That would have been epic.
I'm gonna miss him:(
There will never be another one like him. RIP

Maybe in symbolism, with the death of this "prince of darkness", Obama and Hillary's time is also up.. the minions of darkness will fall this year.
Ozzy/Black Sabbath
The first Christian Rock song?
I kind of had a feeling he was gonna die soon. At least he went out with a bang with his farewell concert.
He was gifted a Bible that wasn't King James and was ecstatic that he was able to understand it. I hope he got saved before he died.

The funny thing is that Faeries do indeed wear boots! š²
I swear, there is one of everybody here. Are you the one that owns "Fae Folk Footwear"?
Did he push people to get the jab or no?

I have met people who regret getting 1 jab but had to as they travelled internationally for work.
