You and u/winn are gonna make me translate and post my chart.
FINE.
Dearest Catholics, I do love you, and it is also good for us to remember to always be humble and self-examining for our own planks, which of only myself I can operate a quite profitable lumberyard.
It took years of me being a non-confrontational PITA-by-refusal to help prod that person to come around… on their own… which is one of a small handful of times I’ve been blessed enough to be convincing of something, somehow. Praise be to The Lord!
Proof that u/christine_grab ‘s method works, it’s just hard to execute!!!
Saved it somewhere but don’t see it at the moment. Wasn’t like some 12 step method or anything, just some suggestions like “don’t be overbearing. Not too much information.”
Through something totally not affiliated with politics that happened in my life 20 years ago, I learned the hard way that people will not believe what they see with their own eyes if they don't want to. I learned that if you tell them "Hey, look at this!" they will disregard you. You have to wait for them to ask you about it. Then, when they ask, you have to answer their questions and ONLY their questions, because if you offer more information than they asked about, they will shut down. If you only answer their questions, they will go away and process that information, then come back and ask you another question, go away to process it, etc. But they only come back if you didn't overwhelm them with too much info when they weren't yet emotionally ready to handle it.
I learned that they more often than not do come around, it just takes them time to process that reality is different than what they were led to believe. Some people come around quickly, most take a while, and some will continue to deny it even when what they are denying exists is right in front of them. You can't make them change their perception of reality. They have to want to.
It’s got 48 points, about a sentence or two each, and about 45 interconnections, as an image.
It’s been on my list for a while, but haven’t done it cause it’s gonna be a PAIN to try and translate and remake it in English.
Was the document a good friend of mine made as to why they left the Catholic Church (to stop sinning!) while staying Christian. That friend has a LOT more animosity to them than I do (which is easier since I don’t really have any as a whole, except toward bad doctrine and specific corruptions and actions - same as I do with all other organized branches of Christianity). It’s amazing how impatient people can be, says me, who dumps reservoir-sized buckets of information on people without being asked on the reg. Kek.
