Many years ago, an old man told me to “watch Ukraine”
At the time, “Ukraine” wasn’t on anybody’s radar.
I thought it was an odd thing to say, and asked him why I should be watching Ukraine
He just said that Ukraine was the “bread basket” of that part of the world, much like the midwest is the “bread basket” of USA
So i just kept paying attention, every time Ukraine came up
ChatGPT: The Ukrainian famine of 1932–1933, known as the Holodomor (from the Ukrainian words for “hunger” and “extermination”), was a devastating man-made famine that killed millions of people in Soviet Ukraine. It arose during Joseph Stalin’s forced collectivization policies, which requisitioned grain and other foodstuffs from Ukrainian farmers while restricting their ability to keep or trade supplies. Harsh quotas, blacklisting of villages, confiscations, and restrictions on movement prevented starving peasants from seeking relief. While scholars debate the precise death toll—estimates range from 3 to over 7 million—there is wide agreement that the famine was not a natural disaster but the result of deliberate policies that targeted Ukraine’s rural population, crushing resistance to Soviet control and erasing a cornerstone of Ukrainian national identity.
So creating a famine in Ukraine is not without precedent,
And as I watched the supposed war between Russia and Ukraine drag on;
And I hear about millions of Ukrainians leaving Ukraine,
I have to wonder if the real reason for this “conflict“ is to destroy the food supply, destroy the bread basket
Now look at the United States…
We have our own bread basket, and we have a whole lot of immigrants that do a whole lot of work in that bread basket.
And just like in Ukraine, the people who do the agricultural work are leaving
This is labor intensive work that needs to be done in a very timely manner as crops will rot on the vine
You may not like the illegal immigration situation, but it’s been like this for a really long time, and our entire agricultural sector is built on migrants moving from one state to another state to keep up with agricultural work
And we celebrate as millions of these migrants leave the country
It just looks to me like there’s a coordinated attack going on in the bread basket in Ukraine and the bread basket in America….
Temporary farm workers are H2-A visas. Not illegal.
The temp farm workers don't work in the wheat fields, they pick fruits and vegetables stuff that machines are too rough to do. I wouldn't worry about bread.... Avocados maybe...
What they don't let Haji drive $350,000 combines ?
Avocados are a big cartel business
Funny I have an Avocado tree growing this year along with some collards, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, beans, peppers, and various other things.
The Farmer sued by Monsanto for “ saving seeds”

Monsanto has sued many a small farmer for YEARS! This is why our “bread basket” is being attacked. Corporate greed and a bigger agenda than “migrant” slaves to do the work we’re too lazy to do ourselves.
Monsanto requests to be shielded from lawsuit due to chemicals causing cancer

The farms are being turned into solar farms. The rest practice Monsanto death ag. They've poisoned the soil so only their plants will grow. The attack has been going on for awhile. The food shortage will start with the land. By the time you see it in the food it's too late.
The fields are becoming more and more mechanized. Robots with 12 arms will soon be picking everything. Processing is where they are now.
Legal farmworkers = good. Illegal aliens = bad.
The free fall of America’s bread basket is much more than migrants to do work. The average age of the American farmer is 57 years old, with only 8% of farmers being under the age of 35. Generational farming has gone the way of the dodo, with many children of farmers choosing a less labor intensive profession with fewer hours. Farming is a lifestyle younger ones do not want.
Many small farms are being bought up by large “Factory Farm” corporations. Or prime farm land being sold off for solar or wind farms.
Super sad and if you live in the Midwest you’ll see the decay of a once great land that fed the world just a generation ago.
All true.
But it's not just the Midwest. Here in PA, when farmers retire, the farms are bought up by real-estate developers who turn them into housing developments or malls.
The local politicians smile and tell us this is "progress." And pocket the kickbacks.
