Warrants are good for 5 years, you won’t want to use them until the price goes up over the $32 that you can exercise them at. You can also sell warrants at any time. Yes, you are correct, I thought warrants expire after 5 years as I have some from another company that keep for 5 years. I didn’t throughly read thru on the GME warrants and I was incorrect, sorry for the confusion. And thanks for the correction.
I believe you nailed it here. Increase GME shares to a number divisible by 10 before O3OCT appears to be the needed action. I'm nearly done with that now for all my accounts. You can put in a buy order for a specific amount for your Computershare account if needed.
I just added a few to my Fidelity position to make a complete batch of 10 and then had them sent over to ComputerShare for DRS.
Question, you mention multiple accounts. Are you leaving some batches in accounts that aren't going to be direct registered? My employer allows us to create a "Self Brokered" account within our 401k program. So I moved some funds into a subset but they don't allow us to DRS. I'm VERY curious and VERY nervous to see what will happen next month.
No idea if the brokerage my employer uses is in a good position to distribute the 10 warrants, but I'll be closely monitoring the situation.

Brokers will be short of warrants to issue and they should go way up. It will be a better deal to sell them.

Oct 3 is the record date. If you are a shareholder on Oct 3 you receive warrants, to be distributed on Oct 7.
Shares purchased on Oct 4 (or after) don't qualify.

Warrant expiration can be extended as well. Probably requires shareholder approval.
