FAFO. Tina still feels like shit for killing the guy but society failed him. They taught him there were no consequences for bad behavior.
He was probably the bully in school that got sent to the office and the principal would “council” him and send him back to class with a cookie and a note to the teacher not to “leave no child behind”.
The right to self defense comes form our Creator, not Florida legislators, or any other government of this world. I wish more people understood that distinction, and, more importantly, held government accountable for not recognizing that distinction.
That's because these STATE LEGISLATURES are NOT RECOGNIZING GOD'S LAWS...only man's!!!!!!! They are trying to keep God out of ANY & ALL legal aspects...that is why some of the laws are wonky like in the State of Florida!!!!!
Florida is actually one of the best states for liberty, in regards to the right to self defense. The Castle Doctrine (A man's home is his castle, and he has the right to a firearm to protect and defend his property and family) has been enforced since 2005, and has been honored in principle for at least a century! Florida also has "In God We Trust" on the flag and actually is one of the best for religious liberty, as well.
that's why I mentioned religious liberty , as well and posted my links related to them. Some rogue judges do not honor the law, as mentioned in the OP. Florida has consistently held up the rights of citizens, unlike other states. There are NO states that I know of that consistently uphold God's law, nor are there any nations this side of heaven.
Separation of powers. Federal versus State. Unless the law broken falls under certain guidelines the Federal AG does not have authority over the case. I could also be wrong here but if I understand correctly the Federal government gets authority over cases that cross state lines in some way or the fugitive flees to another state. What happens only in the state is not in their scope otherwise. So this is the Federal AG pointing out the Stares AG error because they have no authority over this particular case. This is Why the Gold Star mom in Colorado who revealed the cheat is still in jail. She can not be pardoned by the president. Although if I understand typically Historically States will respect such request.
Excellent question, Lawjic. It varies from state to state. In Florida, the state AG does NOT have the ability to fire a state attorney. Some states the AG can fire a state attorney though.
About all the AG can do here is urge the state attorney to do the right thing. He can discipline her if she violates professional conduct rules, but this doesn't really fit into that category of course. About all he can do is make a public plea for the attorney to do the right thing.

I'd sleep extra comfortably given the chance to take out the garbage.
Great job, Tina, he might have killed you.
Never pull a gun if you are not going to use it. Good job there Tina. One less crazoid to deal with!

Another case to make good people scared to do the right thing! Glad they're fixing it. This needs to end. We need our rights back!
Can the AG not fire this state attorney or recommend the governor fire her? I'm asking as a Canadian; I don't know your system.
