Highly dubious, I know. Way to verify would be checking possession against biblical procedure, which I highly doubt that one is in accordance with, but haven’t confirmed yet.

However, according to countless hours of reading I've done on this topic, the arc itself is not always deadly upon touch.
It needs to have a certain substance placed inside it which then activates it making it deadly to touch.
Sort of like a "reactor" with the "special fuel" placed inside. It has also been called "the subtle essence of the Holy Spirit."

This is certainly a reference to Jesus, but there is a pattern in Revelation where a flashback to the past occurs to get a snapshot of the history, then it moves forward again. The second half of the verse, and the verse immediately following are:
and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Because of the symbolism reflected from the OT, the woman has been interpreted by both Protestants and Catholics as Israel. The twelve stars ( See Revelation 12:1) are interpreted by Scripture to be a reference to Joseph's dream in Genesis 37:9
Jacob (Israel) picks up the reference, and responds:
Joseph is a foreshadowing of Jesus in some very real ways, though Jesus is born from the tribe of Judah, whose tribal flag included a lion.
