They effectively already are.
I believe that Tulsi and RFKj are all that is left of the Democrat party.
(Tulsi and RFK were both in favor of socialism, allegedly, but I’m not sure it was in earnest or just to fit in and gather Intel)
They had time travel TV show about that of what the outcome was if the character saved JFK and they made it look bleak

I never saw the series, but I read the book. In a word, it sucked.
