Did you watch it? Because I just did. It's not Sep 10th and it's not a poster, it's a giant billboard in the opening seconds of the film. It's Sep 19 (Saturday, the obvious day for a PPV fight, not Sep 10 which would be a Thursday)
As I posted in another thread. Now, the question is... Was this movie real ? Or made with new technology to look old? Or maybe edited (change names, dates, etc) to fit the narrative. In 'Wag the Dog' movie, the CIA inserted a fake newly created song record as if it was old to create a narrative. In Wag the Dog, people even remembered having listen to the old song, when in reality it was made up.

I just took a look at the BluRay of this movie. There is a fight billboard in the opening few seconds of the movie with the date on there which is September 19.
Even just using common sense. Sep 10th is a Thursday in 1998, Sep 19 is a Saturday. A heavyweight PPV fight would have been more likely to take place on a Saturday obviously.
This reminded me of the more recent movie that was released where a train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio caused a toxic cloud and evacuation. Then months later an actual train derailment happened in East Palestine, Ohio that caused a toxic cloud and evacuation.
I can’t say I remember a train causing a toxic cloud any time since, or before for that matter.
It’s a good flick. I watched it again a couple days ago when this first came to light and I liked it just as good as way back. Almost as good as The Rock with Cage and Connery from 95 I believe.

Whether the billboard at the .25s mark says September 10th or September 19th, it looks like September 10th as it passes quickly out of frame.
The frame rate of the film blurs the numbers in such a way that you have to pause the proper frame and really examine that digit to see if it's not a 0, because it looks like a 0 if you are watching the scene normally.
The Atlantic City fight they were at main event was Executioner Tyler vs Ruiz. coincidences are funny
Filmed in the Summer of 1997 in Montreal. It was shot in the old Montreal Forum, where the Montreal Canadians Won many Stanley Cups.
