Well to be honest I think everybody should get equal representation under the law you shouldn't have favored status or get more representation in the government based on the color of your skin or immutable attributes that's just disgusting It's racism and it is completely unacceptable.
Governor Ivey says she won't redraw map. Got me in a "blue" area in AL which is total BS, I don't think anyone in my area is part of the left. I'll be happy when Tuberville takes her place as governor in 2026. The old crow needs to go back to her nest.
One reason to keep the faith... is that right now, with nearly a 50/50 split in Congress, every vote counts. They will fight tooth and nail for each seat. If Republicans can overturn the census results counting illegal immigrant population for House seats.... and so pick up an extra 20 seats... then the Democrat seat #'s won't matter as much.
If they repeal the Voting Rights Act, so Republicans gain an extra 15 seats in the House on top of that, then the game is up. Democrats will be down by at least 25-30 seats and their fight will be lost. Governors will then not be so reluctant to change, knowing that it won't matter anyway.
Im sick of them doung this shit to us. Reverse that stupidity and lets see the leadership reflect the true will of the people which leans heavimy conservative.
These districts are drawn for minorities to favor Democrats - but SCOTUS is on the verge of overturning it, per POLITICO.
