Moody Blues singer John Lodge dead at 82 ‘suddenly and unexpectedly’
The statement said, “It is with the deepest sadness that we have to announce that John Lodge, our darling husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law and brother has been suddenly and unexpectedly …
82? I’d hardly call it unexpected at that age. Considering the average life expectancy for men is about 75.
In general when considering an average 82 year old, yes. But for those people that knew him well, his sudden passing at 82 is unexpected if he was still in good health.
I know several people healthy people in their 80s. None of them have died suddenly and unexpectedly.
Moody Blues opened up a different musical soundscape for me. John Lodge had a great voice. RIP. https://youtu.be/wM8JjT-97i8?si=fWfN3MlQeDyNBL5K
Tuesday afternoon. Great song. I also liked their guest appearance on the Simpsons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9iwtRMo6HA
I hate all 70s music
ALL .
except the moody blues. Fucking loved them. Only 70s music I will listen to
“Thinking is the best way to travel”.
The "In Search of the Lost Chord" album is a tour de force.
"I know why, the skies all cry"
Cause of death? " he was 82

So he would be alive if you knew him
I would have tried to convince him not to get the jab if he was in my circle. Also, I compete in Master’s Swimming. The 80 year olds I know are doing things that 99.9% of people have never done in their lives.
Swimming is the best for older folks and young. All my kids were competitive swimmers ,great cardio low resistance
My friend's dad died a couple of years ago. I asked him what had happened and he replied 'old'. Nothing major diagnosed. Just a slow decline and then, boom.
Sometimes people give up because they just get, well, tired. My FIL fell and tore his elbow up pretty bad and broke a couple of ribs. He had been having dementia issues, but he was still able to walk, feed himself, etc. When he asked my MIL right after he fell, how old he was and she told him he was 80, he replied "well that's a good age". He was gone six months later.
I've noticed if the elderly keep moving, working a little or just tinkering they keep living
Not very unexpected in an 82 year old carcass.
I know a lot of healthy people in their 80s, none of whom have died “suddenly and unexpectedly”. Of course, none of them are vaxxed.
My mother is 91 and can run circles around me. Still very active and mentally as sharp as a tac. She is in excellent health. Even her own doctors are taken back as to how well she is at her age. I have 2 aunties in their nineties that are also doing well along with numerous cousins of my mother that are in their eighties and nineties, all living on their own and in good health.
My mother doesn't look her age either. People are always shocked when she reveals her age. Even her own doctors don't believe it and think there must be a mistake in her chart. She always gets a big kick when that happens. She looks at least 20 - 30 years younger. For years and still to this day, when people see us together, they don't believe she is my mother. They think we are siblings. I always tell her that I'm not sure whether to take the assumption as a compliment, or as an insult.
Anyway, if something like a sudden passing happened to my mom, it would be a shock and somewhat unexpected.
God bless her and the others.
Thank you. I just pray I got her genes. So far, so good.
God bless your mom. I hope you have her great genes.
Thank you. I pray I inherited her genes as well. I have two siblings and so far, we are good.
Once upon a time...
In your wildest dreams

How can anyone dying at 82 be sudden and unexpected? 🤣
At that age , people tend to go slowly. My mother took 8 years to die of her heart condition at 84. Most people of any age don’t go from healthy to dead in a matter of days.
