Reading to one's offspring is a joy and an investment, is it not? My girl's love of literature, her ability to articulate well and to write a convincing essay are surely due to the hours we spent together with me reading to her young self.
Yes! All my kids are also very good at writing and getting their point across on essays.
I started reading age appropriate books to all my kids while they were still in their crib. Sounds like you did as well! Bravo! π
Hooray for conscious parenting! Honestly, it's our kids who'll be setting the tone for the future of humanity. The human organism does so much better in brain development when love is a stable and firm part of the early life. Parenting is hard, and no matter how awesome we are at it, we do and we will make mistakes. When a child is secure in knowing that there is love for them, though...the rest can be worked out.
Definitely do some Bible study. I've luckily retained enough over the years to keep my flight path straightened. π
