All government should only be permitted sales taxes. That's it. Business.....the only proven vehicle for elevating mankind from poverty....would soar as all localities would strive to create a profitable climate for businesses.
I've been thinking about this, recently, and I think our single tax should be an import/production tax instead of a sales tax. This heavily downplays the incentive to let inflation run rampant because they dont get more money just because the end user is paying more.
Illustration (round figures for easy mafs, tax rate 25%): A farmer produces a gallon of milk and sells it to a processor for $1 Thr processor pays $1.25 (25% tax) and then sells it to the grocery store for $2.50. The grocery store sells it for $4.00. Sales tax: processor pays $1, passes to store for $2, store sells for $3.50 where the buyer pays $3.50+87.5c or $4.38
Under this scenario, the government gets 25c instead of 88c.
Thus, adding rules and compliance costs to the processor or the store dont inflate the tax dollars they get. It would also encourage local production.

And just like that property taxes wipe out your homes ! Guess who runs the property tax scheme?
I believe there were posts stating the Federal Reserve was to be eliminated. I believe that to be part of the plan. And from the last 6 months actions I believe tariffs will be the future of the federal budget. Property taxes for homesteads ought be dealt with constitutionally... preferably on a national basis... as in we amend the Constitution and get another guaranteed right. Spending other people's money is the main ingredient in all grifting ops. Maybe... just maybe ... the federal government will own enough stock in the markets to fund it all. I guess it comes down to if they can prove the grand conspiracy and a certain executive order comes in to play.
